thanks, the names are close it's hard to remember and hubby was telling me it was the other way around. We know Ronnie's deceased. Grnadmother and ex boy friend burried right across from his tomb, it's big so it's a little hard to miss and forget about.

right on...that would rock. Those guys are fun to hang otu with. Met them a few times, couple of them were customers when I was a cashier as a teenager. They used to do little concerts at vanzant park. They did one at the Tug Boat resturant (which is as it sounds, a resturant on a tug boat) and they remembered my parents from back in the day so they hung out for a while. My parents can tell yu all the stories about getting drunk and passing out on rail road tressels listening to em play out in the swamp. They call every time they are tv and almost named me Tuesday.
Funny cuz I always mention rednecks and bikers, really they are the same thing just bikers wear leather. Skynard guys remind me of my family, just good old fl boys.

I felt kinda useful last night. Had some boys from VA in the bar ask me if I knew where Brick yard road was and if I could direct them to it. After making them promise they wouldn't climb the big ass pole (it's like 20 ft high) to steal the sign I drew them a map to it. When that song first cme out, I lived over that way and it seemed like every other day they were replacing the sign from people stealling that sucker.

ya know what's not cool, my mom calling to tell they are TV, EVERY DAMN TIME they are on tv. Fucking 1:30 am the other day my mom is ringing to tell me her boys are on VH1 w/ Montgomery Gentry. I was like, "yes, mother I know it's a freaking rerun." She's obsessed.
Everybody in Green Cove, Orange Park and middleburg, (the burbs around here) know that stuff. I am no one special I promise. Common knowldege. Most people in those areas drive past it everyday just to get to work.
Now, the one thing I claim coolness on is I used to live around the cornor from their old house on Madiera Dr. I inherritted my grand parents house and it was literally around the corner.And it's just this little itty bitty house. Humble as could be, cookie cutter house almost just like every other house in the neighborhood. My mother knows the whole damn family and she makes sure that the world knows it.

i apologize for bumping this thread up, but I dont come on this section to often.

as a few may know.. the Van Zants have a cousin who is also a singer in a rock band. He sounds like them too..(he has also played with Lynaryd Skynard).
