We just got this done. I posted this here because a lot of people think that our singer sounds like Brent.

There is no mastering on it, just a mix job. We may end up having it remixed and mastered by David Bendeth, so would appreciate any comments about the mix.

The first three songs are the new ones. Please listen to the songs all the way through if you can, I think some of the best parts are toward the end.

All three songs were tracked with PRS Singlecuts, Make Me Burn was all Mesa Dual Recto with a SLO on the lead parts, While Cherish The Rain and The Highway are pretty much all H&K Triamp MKII, as I remember.

Anyway, would really appreciate any feedback on it.

Thanks, Bruce.

Alright, VERY professional. The Highway sounds fantastic. Tell your singer to keep up with the high notes and semi-screams. It makes you sound different, and unique. Also, definitely keep using the backup singer frequently, you sound good together.

I don't think he sounds anything like Brent, personally, but that doesn't mean it's bad, just different. I hear some Alter Bridge tone in the guitar, it sounds really good.

And it's not like I can be all constructive, but Nathan sounds just a bit nasally. Might be the recording. I think he'd have an easier time hitting some of the notes if he projected his voice more. Have him try lying on his back and singing, it's a good excercise.

I'd buy an album today if you had one. You guys need to get signed. I know nothing about labels and whatnot, but I was recently imressed by SMG and their bands.

Maybe worth checking out? Keep it up, you'll get somewhere.

Ok.

#1) he sounds NOTHING like Brent. Wink
#1a) He sounds a whole lot more like Myles Kennedy. Only, Myles' falsetto is much more powerful.

#2) You guys don't list Submersed as an influence, yet sound almost exactly like them. From the song structure to the vocal styling. Again, Donald Carpenter's falsetto is much more powerful.

----------------

That being said, you guys are pretty darn good and have a good sound. Previous criticism is correct though in that your singer does sound a bit nasal. I don't know if that is just his tone, or just singing too high. he does pull it off pretty well though.

I wasn't trying to be a dick at all either, so don't take it that way. I've been told I sound like Brent a few times, and that couldn't be farther from the truth... I wish I sounded like him lmao. Keep it up and you guys could succeed though, lots of potential there.

Thanks for the complements and criticisms both guys. With one note. Nathan only hits one falsetto note in all three songs. So, I'm not sure what you're calling falsetto...

I really think that they mean that, Myles Kennedy for instance, has a much powerful upper register. It's not necessarily falsetto.

Well I only listened to 1 1/2 songs. I can't remember how many times I heard him attempt the falsetto, but it REALLY stood out and stuck in my mind. When he went up he completely disappeared.

Maybe it was only the once, I don't know. But it really stood out to me.

That's not falsetto, but do you mind giving me the words or times? That would help, thanks.

Alright, for me it was:

In The Hightway, everytime he says "peace of mind" in the chorus. And when he says "one more night" in the second chorus.

In Cherish the Rain, "rain" in the chorus is up there. And "you're still holding ON" in the bridge as well.

You could make those parts of the songs stand out as awesome with a bit of work.

Anyway, I downloaded the songs to my zune. I'll try promoting you a bit.
