Saw Theory play the opening show of their U.S. tour last night. They put on a good show, there were a few first night of the tour problems but overall they sounded really good. Played a lot of newer stuff with a mix of older songs as well. Only complaints were that they didn't do the crowd participation during Better Off, I prefer Santa Monica half acoustic like they used to, and I would have liked to have heard a slower song from the new album like All Or Nothing or End Of Summer. But besides those minor complaints they put on a great show. They even came out to sign stuff afterwards, not something you usually see from a headlining band. Tickets were only $15, I'd recommend going to see them if they come to your town.

What a wicked game to play
To make me feel this way
What a wicked thing to do
To make me dream of you

I have yet to see them live, but I'm sure they will rock.

If anyone's going to the WJJO Band Camp, definitely check out Deaf Pedestrians. I was recently turned onto them and it's fun, catchy stuff worth checking out. If you're into Theory of a Deadman and that style of rock bands, then check out their song '15 Beers Ago.'

I saw Deaf Pedestrians at Band Camp last year. They did put on a good show. Dope was also there last year (and every year of Band Camp) and they put on a really good live show. But overall the lineup so far this year doesn't look as good as last year's.

Still loving Scars and Souvenirs, getting more play on my ipod than any other album right now. Bad Girlfriend (which is their new single, btw) is catchy, I love Hate My Life and its lyrics, Wait For Me is beautiful, and So Happy still kicks ass. Basically the entire album is great, I'd say their best so far.

I wish I lived closer so I could get to Band Camp. Oh well. BTW how was the crowd for Deaf Pedestrians? One of these days I'll have to fly out there to see them.

So I'm going to see Theory of a Deadman for the first time on July 23rd in Baltimore with SD and Black Stone Cherry and I was wondering what songs they usually play in their set. If anybody can post a set list from a previous show they were at or just tell me what songs they usually play I would appreciate it.

Taken from a post on their official board from someone who went to the recent Calgary show:

Invisible Man
Hating Hollywood
Nothing Could Come Between Us
Little Smirk
Since You've Been Gone
All or Nothing
Hate My Life
Better Off
Last Song
Make Up Your Mind
Got It Made
Hell Just Ain't The Same
Santa Monica
No Surprise

Encore
Bad Girlfriend
So Happy

Sometimes they play "By the Way" (I know it's not in the setlist above).

I plan on going to one of the dates from this tour (it's like, the most awesomest tour ever), probably the Philly one.

"Shinedown is a gift."- 98 Rock Baltimore

"Carve your place in time" and "leave a whisper."- High Holy Days and Shinedown

I am always surprised that Theory are not better known in the USA than they are. I am for sure a fan. I have seen them twice now, once as an opening act and once headlining, both times in Canada. I prefer Gasoline to Scars and Souveniers myself but there are some great songs on S&S as well. Check out Bad Girlfriend and Little Smirk.

They are opening for Shinedown at The Fillmore in Detroit in a couple weeks. I am really looking forward to that show.

Not exactly. The debut (self-titled) CD was avialable in both edited and non-edited versions in the US.

The second CD, Gasoline, was only available as an edited disc in the US, a label decision that I do'nt beleive the band fully supported.

The real treat are the Australian CD single releases, which have some "B" sides not available elsewhere.
