Does anyone know if 10 Years won either Best Direction or Best Art Direction for "Wasteland?" If they televised these awards, I missed them, but I don't think they did.

Yeah, the VMAs have DEFINITELY become basically the BET Awards it seems like these days. Even when Panic won Video of the Year, some wannabe rapper jumped up and grabbed the mic and started trying to promote himself.

I couldn't bring myself to sit thru the awards, so I checked the MTV site (which pretty much sucks if I do say so myself) but anyways...

The Red Hot Chili Peppers won Best Art Direction & Gnarls Barkley won Best Direction.

But honestly, I prolly would have had a heart attack if 10 Years actually won anything! I'm just waiting for the day when all these ppl wake up & we see Shinedown on the stage winning one of those awards! Then I would REALLY have a heart attack!!! lolz

Well, RHCP carries some serious clout in the rock world and though I don't really know how a collaboration of live performances has anything to do with art, I won't argue it too much. As far as best direction, that's probably a crapshoot to begin with. If RHCP wasn't in the art direction category, Wasteland is a very powerful video.
