Well... Hello everyone!!! I`m Marko, but all my friends call me Shagrath or Shag... I`m a new Shinedown fan (two weeks, heh) but the guys just blow my mind with their music... Wow... But wait, why am I telling you this... You guys know what it`s like... Right...

Anyway, I`m from a little country next to Italy called Croatia (check the world map and you`ll find it) and it`s nearly impossible to get the albums here, but I have a friend in the States who got me the albums (he`s 60 but really cool)... He comes to my town a few times a year (he was born here) and last time he was here I asked him to get me the two albums and he did... I ordered the DVD and in just 2 months it`s mine... Yeah... Well, it`s cheaper that e-bay...

Something about me... Well, I`m 23, I`m a english language and literature student at the University of Zadar and I play guitar in a band called ThunderFuk (for those that don`t know - that was the first name James and Lars picked for their band before choosing Metallica)...
I`ll put up my picture as soon as I find out how and where, so you can look at me, heh...

well hello Marko, welcome from a fellow european fan. In about a week I will spend three weeks of my holidays in your country (campingsite in Porec). Meet and greet? hehehehe

Thanx for the nice welcome... I`m really happy to see that you all are open to shit and stuff and new people...

Anyway, I`ve got a story for ya all... Somethin` that happened this weekend (saturday night to be specific)... Don`t worry, it`s not one of those "saturday night fuck stories"... Well, as I live on the coast I went out to the beach with my guitar saturday night, `couse it`s summer and warm and girls on holiday and stuff... The town I went to was about half an hour bus ride away and it was a weekend village (no one actualy lives there but people have their summer houses there that they go to when on holiday... Anyway, when I got to the beach I started playing my guitar and in less then 10 minutes I had about 10 people around me... They all came with their drinks and stuff to listen and have fun... Well, the point of my story is that I spent most of that night playing guitar and singing to these people that I had never met before and gues what kind of songs I played... Yep, Shinedown... It took me about two weeks to learn most of their songs in acustic versions and the people around me were so amazed... They taught that I had played my own songs `couse they had never heard them before... I told them whose songs I had played and I think I found a few new fans for our boys from Shinedown...I really love these tipe of situations - people getting togeather around one guitar without knowing each other before... At the end there was one really special magic moment... Everyone left until 4 a.m. but I stayed at that beach until 9 a.m. playing guitar alone... At about 5.30 the sun started to rise and it was so fucking amazing to play guitar at the beach alone while the day was starting...

Thats it... I just wanted to share this story with you guys... Hope you like it...

I missed the whole begnning of your post, but this part cought my eye. I do that too once in a while and it's amazing (for lack of a better word).

When I lived in Atlantic beach I would get up way early so I could walk my dogs on the beach and watch the sun rise...as I do not play guitar. I find humbling and a great way to start the day. Reminds you of how small you really are in the big scheme of things.
