Hi! I'm new to the forum and Shinedown in general. I had never even heard of the band and listened to classic rock most of the time. I had a brief run in with one of the band members in a restaurant and after the owner of the place told me he was a member of a local band, Shinedown I just had to look them up. I love their music and don't listen to the Rolling Stones as much. (Don't get jealous Mick)

I was stuck in the 80's a while back, after I got married and had kids. A Creed song changed all that for me. One thing led to another until I was trying new music and going to rock shows again.
That's what was happening to me. I got married early and have a 2 year old son. I was friends with all the local bands and saw big names in concert. I became a different person when I got married. But No More! I'm going to PlanetFest in Nov to see Shinedown and break the no-new-music habit!

Good for you!! My poor husband...I made a week of it last week... I saw Shinedown three nights in a row. My kids are teenagers so it's easier for me now.
My husband likes to fish and play video games so it's a trade off. I'm a lucky girl! ;-)
