Brent:
I was a bartender at the Prince Deli for Sami back in the days of Dreve; You guys had just gotten signed, I'd just gotten out of rehab. I knew Andy, Eric, and Hector from working there. We also shared alot of other mutual friends i.e, the guys from Galaxie, Shape Cell, Nolan Neal, Chrissy, etc. I never got the chance to meet you but wish I had. You're a true poet/lyricist. I moved back to the West "by gosh" Virginia 3yrs ago to escape the blackhole that knoxvegas can create within onesself. Anyway, I bought LAW & Us & Them, I was out in the land of cattle farms and chicken houses. If I had not had God/Christ or the music of SHINEDOWN I truly question if I would be where I am today. It was the toughest period of my life and most self-sculpting period in my life. I give my thanks to God everyday for surviving it, now I would like to thank You & the rest of the guys in the band: THANK YOU AND GOD-BLESS ALL OF YOU!!! Your music means the world to me, and not just because we're from the same town or were maybe even almost acquaintances, but because your music is REAL and from the soul. Just as did the previous cd's, Madness leaves me wanting more, and even a little heartbroken at its finish- definately worth the wait. The melodies and harmonies, hooks and choruses console the soul, the lyrics are personal and honest and thought-provoking. I'm already awaiting #4. Congratulations on your success and your Son, I had my first one: Christian Isaiah last Oct.22, a day I never thought I would see, from the depths oh my soul I thank You Shinedown, Your music means more to me than I could ever express. Thank You. This message has been edited. Last edited by: DBRASCO1, |
