Hi, I'm from NY. I first heard Heroes by Shinedown on the radio around when it came out, but never found out who sang it. A while later when TSOM was about to get released, somebody recommended the band to me. I listened to the first song that was on the MySpace (Devour), and realized that Shinedown kicks some major ass.
This summer I was checking out concerts and found out that Shinedown was coming to Syracuse on August 29th. I was one of about 20,000 people there (see sig) and I had the time of my life there. It was my first *real* rock show in nearly 10 years (I went to a Joan Jett concert when I was little, and I barely remember it, lol) and the music was great, which means loud for me, in addition to the great vocals (Zach does a great job harmonizing). In a long story short I got a Eric Bass pick (somebody just left it on a seat...), a tee shirt, autographs, and pics with Zach and Eric. I also play bass, I'm learning how to play Heroes and some of the older material, in addition to other band's work such as Sabbath, Boston, and some other various bands. See you guys around. "I met someone once that told me that there was no such thing as a hero anymore...It's funny to be though the ignorance this individual has. 'Cuz if he was here tonight, he was looking at the audience I was looking at, and he would say well, I was wrong. I see about 20,000 heroes right infront of me. Because it doesn't matter of you are a man or woman, younger or older, the color of your skin, doesn't make one difference in all. If he were here right now, he would see 20,000 heroes strong" |

Hey Shorty!
Love the name! You play that bass boy and be your own hero. ...I'm not against what's right, I'm not for what's wrong, I'm just makin' my way and I'm gone... |
