I have read that the senior citizen age group is pretty much ignored by music promoters, but I just wanted to say that I heard Shinedown's "I Dare You" on the radio and immediately went out and bought both of Shinedown's CDs, something that I could not have afforded in my younger years.
I thought that I would download a few of the songs that I liked and then give the CDs to my son who loves Shinedown. However I have kept both CDs because every song on each CD is tremendous, and I play them continuously in my car. Brent's vocals are amazing.
Glad to see that anyone of any age can rock to Shinedown!

Love hearing your testimony I love them and so does my husband, I'm 45 and he's 50 and my sons are 22 and 25, they too think they're great. I think good music is ageless. Nice to have you here. Welcome!
Thanks for the welcome. I was an avid American Idol fan, but after finding Shinedown, I can barely listen to the performances of any of them except for Bo Bice whom I still like even though his producers are trying to make him a pop star. At least he got me listening to rock again. I hope that rockbands like Shinedown, Velvet Revolver, Seether, et al will start to overtake some of the crap on the radio today.

you know what, I agree with you.. alot of the crap on the radio is rap, and stuff like that... I think it's really boring that we have to listen to things like that. I think it sucks... Lets jsut hope Velvet Revolver's new stuff is as good as their old
