hey!

ok I guess some of you already read my other posts I posted yesterday, but I thought I should introduce myself to the Forum

So well... I'm 19 from the Italian part of Switzerland (very close to Italy) in Europe. Finishing off high school right now and gonna go to University in October.

I can't precisely remember when I 've heard Shinedown for the first time Confused .. I just know that at a certain point I begun to listen to their music ALL the time and became kinda addicted to it Razzer
I actually think that I learned about them reading something on amazon.com and then decided to listen to some of their songs... but well I guess that will always remain a mystery Confused

It's sad that here there is like NO ONE who knows Shinedown.. they are unaware of what a great band they don't know!
I just hope SD will come back to Europe (k guess I said that in all the posts I wrote) Big Grin

Ehm, k guess that was it
I hope we'll get along fine Smiler Smiler

bye
have a nice day
Simo

Even some places in the states are like that... the only good thing is that the radio stations kick ass around here and offer alot of publicity to bands that come to the area so Shinedown was actually becoming a very familiar name before they came to Youngstown for the first time in October of 05 and now theres fans poping up all over the place. They;ll get around the world soon enough Big Grin Welcome to the board!!

Flew so high last night I think that I fell to the ground so heavy woke up to find this living hell it used to be so easy... hard to tell my nights now from my days the curtains hide my feelings don't feel I have any right to pray and they will find me someday

but i'm pretty sure SD are soon gonna be known in Europe. They just need to come over here for some more concerts Cool

i've heard that most of europe is obsessed with techno. i don't think the rock revolution ever fully got out there.

And shepherds we shall be, for thee my lord, for thee. Power hath descended forth from thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command. So we shall flow a river forth unto thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris Et Filii Et Spiritus Sancti.

That's weird. We got the influence starting with Elvis.. and then later the Beatles and Rolling Stones came here.. both of the latter groups are from Europe.

Now they're in techno? ewww... I hope that we can bring bring the good old time Rock n Roll back to Europe and let the good time roll!

I don't know where you get the idea we are obsessed with 'tech no musical tallent'!
Look at the bands that have come out of England/Britain (Sabbath, Priest, Maiden, Whitesnake, sex pistols, The Jam, The Darkness, U2 etc) Probably the most Famous anual Rock festival at Donnington is still going under a different name, but never the less is still going.
We do have to put up with shit from Friggin boy bands and twats like James Blunt and Robbie Williams. Thats what is 'chart music' not techno.

techno???? naaaah i dont think so!
we are actually really US-influenced... there's a lot of r'n'b stuff over here and a lot of pop music from the states.
we got some famous European rock bands at the moment, so I think rock still lives on in Europe Cool

Rock am Ring + Rock im Park, where SD played last weekend are really big rock concerts (ok not as big as dunnington but still) that take place every year in Germany.

I also heard about a lot of rock festivals in France and even here in Swissyland during this summer... but unfortunately not with such great performers as the ones at the Rockfest (was it Kansas City??) the other day.
