ok its a week since this gig but this is the first chance ive had to write about it

well i had college from 9 til 1 that day so as you can expect it went so slowly got out a bit early and rushed to get the train about quarter past 1 nearly missed it due to misplacing my phones not a good start but made it and met my mate on the train. Finally got up to Glasgow about 2 and we headed to the venue upon getting there i met 3 more of my friends by the bus and we just talked for a bit getting excited everytime we heard the bus door opened always being disappointed as it was usually just crew but finally after a while the door opened and out walked Barry. very cool guy we had a quick chat with him got photos and things signed and he headed in so the wait began again. about 10 minutes later the bus door opened again and my mate john peeked round the corner at the bus and turned to us and said :O its brent as we all suddenly stopped talking amoungst ourselves and quickly moved to the bus and there he was the legend that is Brent Smith bottle of water in one hand and a toastie in the other obviously he wasnt expecting to meet any fans so he tried to eat his toastie a little quicker but we felt bad so said we'd leave him in peace to eat but he was like no no guys its fine so he quickly finished his toastie and took photos with us all and chatted with us. incredibly nice guy even asked if he remembered me from the Glasgow disturbed gig because when i met him i told him how id heard about a Shinedown UK headline tour in January of which he knew nothing of so i was actually telling him his touring plans haha:P and he said ah i remember you man and smiled and said good to see ya again Big Grin cant tell you how awesome that made me feel one of my favourite singers of all time remembered me as you can guess ive not shut up about it sinceSmiler after about 5 or 10 minutes brent went and told eric to come out for us and then went to head in to king tuts he clearly got lost as he seemed to walk away from the venue then realised after a minute and went back in the right direction :P Anyway eric then came out and did the usual was a very nice guy gave us a couple of plectrums not everyone got one so he said hold on and ran into the venue and came out with a big handful of plectrums for us all what an awesome guy Smiler anyway we asked about Zach and got told he was still sleeping so heading round to the venue bar for a drink and while we were in there Zach woke up and came out someone came round and told us he was standing round the back but when we got there he had JUST gone in the venue i was gutted but ah well we went back round to the bar and sat had a couple of drinks and food and just waited for the doors opening we even got to hear them soundchecking sound of madness me and my friends john and Brad stood at the door opened it slightly and could hear it was sounding great and got us even more excited for what was ahead tonight. Anyway after the long wait it came time for doors got in and rushed straight to the front got a place to the right which would be right in front of ericSmiler
Anyway the support band of the night came on after a little wait
The Crave: I thought they did a good job they were a bit light for me but i have heard much worse and think Kerrangs review of them was unfair

It was finally time i had waited about 5 or 6 years for this moment to see Shinedown headline. The lights went off and the slightly creepy intro began it was intense as hell at the side of the stage we saw 4 figures standing there was a big cheer and out the walked onto stage. It was a nice surprise that they opened with Cry for help as i was expecting Devour like last time. They went through their set sounding absolutely amazing his inbetween song banter was great too you could tell they were having a great time he even changed words to one of the songs( cant remember which) but he was facing barry so his back was to the crowd and sang some thing like the crowd just cant get enough of my ass or something haha Big Grin:P. The coolest point was nearing the end of the set he jumped down and was high fiving people and grabbing their hands and he jumped down right infront of me and loads of hands came over me to touch him but he pushed his hand by them and grabbed mine and nodded and smiled at me haha seriously what a guy cant say a bad word about him. Anyway they went away for 2 minutes and came back out for the encore ended on fly from the inside like usual was sad it was over but they were absolutely amazing. i dont see them playing a small venue next time they are back i see huge things for them over here which is great

sorry i did this in a rush so theres missing full stops etc but hopefully it will give you an insight to my Shinedown experience

I am not perfect and i don't claim to be. If thats what you wanted then im so sorry

Have to say King Tuts was my fav venue and it was between this gig and manchester for my favourite. How can 300 people make sooo much noise?!?!
