I know this concert is only a few weeks away but do you think that there is a chance that there are any good tickets left?

Is anyone else thinking about going to this one? Just wondering.

I am going. just fyi, the building is all General Admission. you could buy your ticket before the show and still be front row. It is a great venue, I have been there once. IF you go, let me know and maybe we can meet up. I am driving 9 hours for this show.

I am becoming increasingly more angry at this band. Still no dates in Al. WTF? I have been waiting very patiently for a very long time. Now I am begining to cross my arms and tap my foot. Sorry, just felt a need to add that in.

Hey Guys, I'm new here. . .just registered!

Anyway, my band REVERY is opening the show in Norfolk, and we're really stoked to play with Shinedown. So, come up and say "hello" if you get a chance. FYI, if you dig Shinedown, chances are you'll like us too. It's funny Nick Perri is in the band now, because people often told me that he and I play very much alike.

Get there early, and check out our set!

dude, i used to live in Virginia actually around the VA beach area. I will be at this show, but the only thing that pisses me off about the Norva, is that the handicap section is upstairs with a fucking pole blocking half of the stage. and they are jackasses when it comes to asking if i can sit up front, just in front of the barricade on the side of the stage. i have checked you guys out and i do like your music. look forward to seeing you guys.

I went to the show last night and was about an arm length away from the Stage. I would have to say this is one of the Best shows that i have ever been to and can not wait to see Shinedown again. Revery did a good job also, though i had not really heard the music before.

Alright guys, review time: I drove 8 hours to this show from Atlanta. Got there the day before the show so I could get some rest before hand, as I knew I was going to need it.

My brother and I headed to the venue at around 4:30 and got there around 5. We were the first people there so we talked to one of the local radio stations there for about 15 minutes. Then the venue staff started putting up the barriers for the line to start forming so we watched them do that.

As they were finishing up with that, Zach, Barry, and Eric walked out of the venue. Barry and Eric walked towards the bus and went inside, but Zach saw me and walked over to me and started talking to me. I told him that I probably wouldn't be able to get in the front row of the crowd because last time I was there, they forced me to sit in the handicap section, even though I told them I didn't want to. So he asked me how many people were with me, and I told him it was just my brother. He told me he was going to see if he could get me a pass.

Barry comes off the bus and sees me and walks up to me and shakes my hand and then asked me what number show this was so I told him it was my 5th. Then we talked with him for a little bit and then he had to go back inside. He told me that they will be playing Atlanta very soon.

He comes back off the bus later (after the door had apparently got stuck closed) and says that he had taken care of it and to pick it up at Will Call.

I pick up my pass and head inside and they actually asked me if I wanted to go upstairs or sit down in the front to which I replied "the front." Zach then comes up to me before the opening band took the stage and asked if everything was cool.

Opening band plays, gets off stage... Revery was alright. They shocked me, because normally the opening band isnt that good, but these guys put on a good show.

The guys finally took the stage and jumped into Devour, which still sounds amazing live, even with the tweaked studio version being a hot topic around here lately.

The guys were on FIRE! This is the best SD show that I have seen, and Nick is a beast on guitar. I have never heard the Heroes solo sound so good before (no disrespect to Jasin, he plays it extremely well.) Eric is a great addition to the band as he adds another voice to the harmonies.

Overall, they played 7 new songs, all of which were amazing! I will list them in the set list. My favorite of the new songs they played was "Second Chance" because the story Brent told us about it really hit me. He said that it was about saying goodbye to your friends because you have to move on and that it would be the hardest thing you ever do. He said the song was about the day you realize you have to do that. Also "The Crow and the Butterfly" is FANTASTIC with the full band. It really is extremely epic. The show was closed with Fly, which was a very nice change from the usual Save Me. The best song performance of the night though, had to be Call Me. Brent's voice ROCKED that song. The band was also really energetic and interacted with the crowd very well. Brent gave some really good speeches this time too.

At the end of Fly, Zach looks down at me and throws his bandanna to me and I caught it before anyone else could reach in front of me. There was no way in hell I was letting that thing hit the ground. I also got one of Zach's new picks, which by the way Zach, is fucking sweet.

After that, we went outside to wait for the guys to come see out so we could talk with them and ask them questions. Zach was the first one to come out and I waited for him to get done with all of the other people before I started talking to him. I asked him about The Fairwell stuff and he said he doesnt know when the album is coming out since he is so busy with SD. He also had to deal with 3 of my crazy family members. Zach, I apologize for you having to deal with them, I know they were annoying, because they were annoying the shit out of me. I didn't even know they were going to be there until they called me and said that they were there.

Eric then came outside and I finally got to meet him. Zach introduced me to him and I told him that I was the guy that drove 8 hours and he was like "OH YEAH." I then asked him about how to get into Music Production, because that is what I want to do for my career and he gave me a lot of tips and how to approach things.

Barry then came outside and I asked him about Junkies For Fame.... Get ready for this guys.... It IS still going to be released... as a bonus song for a store, but he didn't say which one. We then started talking about the record and the 3 iTunes bonus songs. He said that they didn't mesh well when thrown on the record, but they were all really great songs so that's why they are bonus. Then my brother and him got into a long discussion about what type of bass guitars are good for rock music.

Brent was the last one to come outside, and by this time, most of the people had left. I finally got to talk to him and he recognized me and asked me what I thought of the new songs. I told him I loved them. Then I asked him what Cyanide was about and he said that it was about a woman that he knew out in LA that was having a lot of troubles, and she unfortunately overdosed. He never said it was about Anna Nicole though, he mentioned her because he name is one of the lyrics in the song. Now whether or not that means it's a different person I don't know. He told us that the next tour is going to be "total fucking chaos." We then started talking about the Atlanta show that is coming up soon and that he was glad that he was going back there.

I know this was very very long, and for that I apologize, but I just couldn't help myself. I had to get all of this out there because it was such an exciting thing to finally experience again. Pictures will be up also. Here is the set list in exact order:

Devour
Heroes
Cyanide Sweet Tooth Suicide
I Dare You
Cry For Help
Second Chance
Burning Bright
Sound of Madness
The Crow and the Butterfly
Save Me
45
Call Me
Fly From the Inside

As long as they don't throw the thread off, I don't care. Haha.

Im glad that Z got ahold of you. We were speaking about that and I was wondering. Very awesome though!

JFF, I'm glad someone found out. I wanted to share, but never got the okay on it. But yeah, that's why I wasn't worried. But now everyone knows!

Cyanide, it's not about Anna Nicole. Different girl.

Sounds like an awesome show though! Very lovely review. I guess I need to go back and start giving points again, eh? Stupid school distracted me. Sounds like a great time though, and you confirmed what Zach has been telling everyone--the band sounds awesome. It would be nice if they'd come see me though!
