I don't think that we met. I was at that show though and i did get to meet Myles and Mark after the show. Anyways, I'm actually from Athens which is about 60 miles south of Knoxville. It's actually dead in the center of Knoxville and Chattanooga.

This was an abso-fucking-lutely AMAZING show. My favorite band at my favorite venue; I didn't see how it could be a bad show. Great lights, ultra-tight performance and a killer set.

Overall the set was pretty much the same. They played all the new stuff they've played so far, including Second Chance (my first time seeing that one live Cool ).

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDDD ..............

THEY PLAYED MOTHERFUCKIN' JUNKIES FOR FAME Rock OnRock OnRock OnRock OnRock OnRock On

Oh, and from the mouth of Brent himself (paraphrase):

"Junkies will be on a bonus disc at TARGET"!! Big Grin

Got to speak with TaNbULL as well, who got a damn setlist you lucky dog Razzer

All in all, an awesome show

Guys, I will have a nice long review later, but I am having internet troubles right now, I am connected to someone elses wireless network in my neighborhood just to post this. Yes, they played Junkies, and it ROCKED! Once I get my internet fixed, I will be able to upload pictures and stuff. Was cool meeting you, Bluecats. And Yes, Brent told me that Junkies was a Target bonus track after he said it was Best Buy, I was like umm are you sure? and he goes "you know what, you're right, I am drawing a complete blank right now. It's Target."

Alright, well I hope you guys are comfortable, this one is going to be a long one.

Day started off terrible. Woke up at 9:30 to the sound of my phone ringing from my best friend calling to ask me something. I got up and started getting ready to go to the Acoustic performance. I was extremely tired as I didnt get much sleep the night before.

Get out of the shower, was waiting on my friend from New York to call me when his plane landed, because he was going to go with me to the Acoustic show. He calls me at 10:30 and lets me know that he wont be at his house in time for him to go. So, I decide to leave my house at 11 to get there early. Show started at 1.

I know how to get to the Project 961 studio, as I have eben there a few times. This is where my day gets exceedingly worse. The ONE road I needed to get on to get there, was blocked off. The detour signs took me the opposite direction of the station. So, I resort to my phone and I rent a GPS program for it, which informs me that, yes, the stupid detours took me the wrong way. I finally get the directions from the phone and make my way to the station.

I pull into the parking lot across the street and I get out and go to the parking thing and realize that I only have $1 and it costs $3 to park. I just put the $1 in there and went on my way. Luckily nothing bad happened lol.

Go into the lobby where that had everyone waiting and sat there for about 30 mins before they checked everyone's ID to get in. Then they took us upstairs into some other room to wait for another 20 mins before they let us in the actual performance room. While we were waiting though, they gave everyone a free Full Throttle. That was definitely a good thing because I was super tired.

Go into the performance room and got my spot up front in front of where Zach would eventually be. They announce the guys and they all come out and Barry goes and sits in the floor because he couldnt do anything lol.

They ask the guys a few questions and then they open up the set with Devour. I was wondering how this would turn out. In my opinion, it turned out pretty good. Eric sang backup in the chorus so it was really close to the album sound, vocal wise, just a slower temp. They then ask a few more questions and then Brent goes into a speech right before they played 45. He said something along the lines of a lot of people wondered if they should play the songs live, or even if they should have written the song and how he still gets the same feeling as when they first played it for an audience. I have the speech on video, I will post the link to it when I upload it somewhere. The performance of 45 was nothing short of awe inspiring. The final song they played for the acoustic show was If You Only Knew..... Words can not describe how amazing this was acoustic. You could definitely tell that Brent absolutely loves this song.

So, they end the show and I talked with Chris from Project for a few mins, then made my way back to my car to head home to pick up my friend from new york and my best friend so we could head to the show.

Get back to get them around 2:30, pick them up at 3:30 and we grabbed some food and made our way to the tabernacle.

We got there around 5 and doors opened at 6, so we just sat in line for an hour and talked with the Project 961 representatives.

Doors opened up and we made our way inside to the handicap section, which I love at the tabernacle. Rev Theory took stage at around 7 and man did they start the show off with a giant bang. I like these guys on their albums, but DAMN they take it to another level live. Rich has some awesome stage presence, and Rikki definitely makes them sound SO much better. He tossed me a guitar pick during their set, it's pretty cool. Has the Jager symbol on it.

Before the next band came on stage, I saw Eric standing behind me just looking at the stage, so I waved to him, and he saw me and walked over and we started talking about how his favorite band was Muse and the last time he had been to the tabernacle was when Muse played the Cotton Club which is located under the tabernacle.

12 Stones was the next act to take the stage. I went in to their set expecting them to be kick ass. I love their albums. I am sad to say that I was extremely disappointed with their performance. They sounded okay, but they could have sounded SO much better. Plus, their lead singer was ANNOYING. Kept throwing up the devil horns and then he would put them on himself and stick his tongue out. I definitely thought that man was an idiot. Just my opinion though, if you enjoy their live show, then thats good.

At 9:15 the guys took the stage and immediately jumped into Devour. This show, Devour sounded a lot better than the last time I saw them, but it was amazing then so this time it was almost perfect. After Devour finished, they jumped right into Heroes without even stopping. Once again, Nick completely dominated that song. The solo was performed extremely well again. After Heroes was done pummeling us, they played Cyanide, which sounded A LOT better this time than the last time I saw them. That is quickly becoming one of my favorite live songs. After Cyanide was finished, Brent dedicated I Dare You to people in the armed forces. I Dare You sounded.... different this time. It didnt sound bad, it just sounded a lot heavier. After I Dare You wrapped up, they kicked in with Cry For Help. Brent said something before it, but I can not remember it for the life of me. Next, they played a song I have been wanting to hear since I got a first little glimpse of it and that song is If You Only Knew. The speech that Brent gave for it was awesome. The song itself did not disappoint me and I am glad that they decided to play it. Burning Bright was next and Brent gave the speech about his grandmother and the stars. Made my best friend cry and I dont blame her because that is a very emotional story. After Burning Bright they played The Sound of Madness. I always like hearing this song live, but this time was the first time I actually got to witness the intense huddle between Brent and Zach. It was awesome. They then played The Crow and The Butterfly which is always a very epic song, and this show was no exception. After they finished it, the kept the acoustic guitar on stage. I thought this was weird and it could have only meant one thing: Second Chance. I was so excited to hear them play it, because when I submitted my set list to them, I put that one there and in parenthesis I said it was a must. Definitely made my night up to that point. After Second Chance, they started playing this REALLY cool improv. sounding thing that I knew was leading to Save Me by the guitar rhythm. After they played it, which was about 3 mins later, they just jumped into Save Me, which as always got a good crowd reception. They played 45 next, which Brent dedicated to Chris from Project 961 because Chris turned around the radio and started playing more SD. Then they left, and Eric and Brent came out for Call Me and introduced it as their Simple Man. Call Me was amazing, just like the last time I saw it. HERE IS WHERE THE SHOW WENT OVER THE TOP! All of the guys come back on stage and Brent says "You know, we are all Junkies in some way." I FREAKED! I was going there is no way that they are about to play Junkies. Brent continued his speech and says "I know there are a few diehard fans here that will know this one. It has been a while." I completely lost it then. It was so awesome to hear the song again and it sounded amazing. As usual for this tour, they closed the show with Fly. This show was fantastic. Brent wasnt kidding when he told me this one was going to be total fucking chaos. The lights were unbelievable and the sound at the tabernacle is top notch. I got a guitar pick again and my best friend got a drum stick.

We got outside after the show ends and wait for the guys to come out. Zach was the first one I got to talk to, he walked right up to me and we started talking about the show. I told him that once the album drops, they need to try and put Sin With A Grin in the set and he said they want to, but whenever they play it in rehearsal something is missing from the chorus and they dont know what it is. Hopefully they can figure it out. He said they do need another heavy song, because the set takes a drop for too long. After Zach then went to say bye to their label guys and then I talked to Barry. He told me it was good to see me again and I told him that I was just happy they played Junkies and he said they had to do it. After Barry walked away I got to talk to Eric again and I told him that I was still saving up for some production equipment and he told me to ask him for help if I ever had a question about anything. I thought that was cool. After Eric and I finished talking, I finally got to meet Nick. I told him that I had never heard the Heroes solo sound that amazing and he was extremely appreciative. He also said he loved my shirt. After Nick was done talking with me, I talked with Brent a little. He said they had to play Junkies because the guy he wrote it with was at the show. He also said that Junkies will be released as a bonus song to Target, so everyone that wants it, find your nearest one. Zach then came back outside and I talked to him again for about 15 mins. I asked about The Fairwell stuff as I always do, and he said there is nothing new to report. That kinda sucks, because the album is finished. After that, we decided we were going to head home, it was like 12:30 by then.

All in all, this was the best performance by the guys I have seen. Beats out the Norfolk show last month on Junkies alone.

I plan on going to the show in Knoxville next month. That one should be awesome.

I am not even going to apologize for this being long, because thats just how I do things now lol. Pictures will be included later, once I upload them somewhere. Hope you guys enjoy.
