Last night, a few friends of mine and I drove two hours to see Shinedown in Modesto, since it's the closest they'll be to us on this tour and it was COMPLETELY worth the drive! Singlehandedly the best concert I've been to. They played all my favorite songs except for Cry For Help, which I think would have been amazing live! One of their songs was on the radio this morning and I couldn't help but think that they sound so much better live throughout the whole thing.
The only thing that disappointed me though, was that all of the other bands (Adelita's Way, Cavo, and Sick Puppies, who were all awesome!) came out to mingle with the fans and sign things, but Shinedown didn't. :[ We waited forever where the other bands came out before we got shooed away by one of the merchandise guys. It's kind of understandable since it's an 8 hour drive to San Diego where they're playing tonight, but even just half an hour out with the fans would have been enough to at least sign stuff! Is that normal, for them to connect with the audience so well and then just bolt? :[ Despite them not coming out to mingle, that was an AMAZING concert and I'd go see them again hands down. |

I think that happens alot with the headlining bands. Im not sure why. I thought maybe because they might be a much bigger band? It happened here in Reno too, Cavo, Sick Pups and Adelitas were signing but Shinedown never did. Im sure they have good reason why they dont. Black Label Society didnt either but there opening bands did.
For the record..that show kicked major ass and I cant stop talking about it. your ceiling falling piece by pieces, raining down like concrete, just surrender, and remember what youve done to me. |

I wouldn't say it's normal for them not to come out, far from it! From what I've read on here (and experienced personally) they almost always hang out after shows, or at least do meet&greets to sign stuff.
Maybe they're getting tired of touring though... or you just had bad luck (both of you). I hope you'll get to meet them soon, they're soooo nice |

Maybe the venue had something to do with it. Outside of the theatre where they played here was a big casino area. Nikki Sixx, L.A. Guns, and Papa Roach all came out and met the fans at a small club locally each time they played there. Not a big deal if Shinedown didnt stick around..i was happy as hell to see them live.
