I was so happy to see that Shinedown is appearing at the HOB in Cleveland and even happier that my daughter and her family from VA will be here. I just bought 7 tickets for the show, including one for my 6 year old grandson who loves Shinedown. We may have the distinction of being the oldest and the youngest at the concert. I just love Shinedown.

Just got back from Cleveland show....wasn't "feelin" Black Stone Cherry, I mean, they were good, but not my cup of tea
Theory of a Deadman kicked ass, MAJOR ARSE! new fan here! Shinedown rocked! I was surprised on how much of the new album they played! There were times when the sound was a little off, I was standing right behind the mixing board most of the night, then moved upstairs to the balcony, it sounded pretty much the same, so I know it wasn't because of my location. There was "something" off, I think it had something to do with one of the guitars, and the bass wasn't loud enough at times...Brent seemed to sing the new stuff way better than the old stuff, he struggled alot in some of ther older material....but I didn't care, I WAS SEEING SHINEDOWN! woohoo! I will say this, and please don't anybody take this the wrong way......this seems to be a new Shinedown, and not just because of the newest members, its a whole new band to me, new sound, new look and so on.....not complaining, I actually really like everything about it, BUT...it is a totally new version of the band we all know and love! Gone are the days of Jason on his accoustic, and the incredible version of "Simple Man" that used to give me chills everytime I witnessed it.....this band is still Shinedown, but with a make-over, lol...loves both versions! great show guys, and Brent is still and always be my musical hero! Adore the man! |

1. heroes 2. save me 3. i dare you 4. burning bright 5. left in the crowd 6. 45 7. fly from the inside 8. devour 9. sound of madness 10. second chance 11. cry for help 12. the crow & the butterfly 13. if you only knew 14. cyanide sweet tooth suicide i think that might have been the longest show thus far??????? |

WOW is all I can say about the show. This is prolly close to (maybe over) the 30th time I saw the band... I had to go, it was the day after my b-day. Everytime I see them, they take my breath... and my voice... away. Love these guys. Now come back to Pittsburgh! lol.
I would agree that they sound different (not better - not worse) then the old days. They still rocked out though! |
