What can I say.... Shinedown completely rocked THE MACHINE SHOP. I had only recently started to travel up to this club for shows. There is such great energy there. Plus I was NOT missing my chance to see the boys solo. Let's not forget the gang in Halestorm! This band truly rocks!

By the time the boys took the stage the crowd was more than ready to see them. Anticipation is a great motivator! Although it felt like the longest wait ever! I hadn't see the boys play since Rockfest in Kansas. So of course I was more than ready to let it all out.

I stayed back near the soundboard for a full on view of the night. I knew the boys were gonna play a lot of the new stuff and I was hoping to soak it all in.

The lights dim and the chants of Shinedown slowed down... then it begins! They came out on stage and took command of the crowd. They played a large chunk of songs from US and THEM. Which was exactly what I was hoping to hear. It's great to feel the vibe of those songs live. They did mix in a few Shinedown classics for the crowd. During Simple Man the crowd was so loud. As well as during 45. Of course I was rocking my butt off when the boys went into FLY. (That song still gets me moving!) During the new songs when I wasn't just rocking it out I tried to gage the crowds reactions. You could see the crowd really getting into it. I was in heaven! The boys ended with "Save Me" and they had the crowd jumping the entire time!

The set list:
Heroes
Left Out
Fly
I dare you
Shed some light
Simple Man
Yer Majesty
Begin Again
Burning Bright
Atmosphere ( color me a happy Nanner's)
45
Save Me

Many thank you's to the boys for making this anight I will not forget anytime soon. Thanks for everything! I love yous guys.

Ah I can't wait to see the pics. I didn't take many at all.

The boys got a chance to play some of the newer songs they haven't performed live yet. Since they only have a certain amount of time. So this was a real treat!

Mel anytime girlie! Gotta share the love OR SOMETHING. hee hee

Thanks for confirming the setlist. I had the same songs and order figured out. I was hoping to get an actual hardcopy (taped to the stage), but no such luck. Frowner Oh well, I was front and center (touching distance from Brent), so that alone was more than worth the two hour drive to the Machine Shop. The concert was awesome and Halestorm really rocked. Lzzy's hardcore!

I am not bashing, just wondering.

It's called a Copyright.

It protects me, the Photographer.

I have 10 years experience in Concert Photography. During this time, I have been offered ridiculous sums of money from people wanting to mass produce my work. I was offered $500 for a set of my Savatage photos from one show. 3 rolls of prints, $500....2 rolls of Tesla pics, $2000. I have turned down those and other offers.

I have never sold my work for 2 reasons: (1) I like my photo passes (no photo pass for this show, just a cheap digital camera in the front row, allowed by the venue) and (2) Most bands retain the rights to their images and how they are used. Without a contract with the band, I will not sell.

Just posting the pic alone, without the copyright, anyone could print these and mass produce them, sell them, and make money off of MY talent.

I could put the copyright in the corner...but then all someone has to do is crop that out, and steal the image.
