I just got back in from the Amos Southend show. The band was great, BUT.....All I can remember from the show is how
much the so called VIP's sucked and ruined the whole thing for me. Amos Southend is a small venue in Charlotte, NC. The place is general admission with two levels. On the right side on the upper level there was about three tables in a space about 30 feet by about 15 feet that covered the end of the upper area on one side that was reserved for so called VIP's. I guess this was friends of the band or something. They were all arrogant ASSHOLES and they thought everyone else was supposed to move out of thier way and shit like that. Well FUCK THEM and that is the last time Shinedown will EVER get a dollar of mine. So if you read this you so called VIP's then FUCK YOU dudes in the upper level cryiong about ICE being thrown at you you pussy, FUCK YOU. Maybe if you sit your ass down and let paying fans see the band then you would not have to WHINE to security about people throwing ice at your pussy ass. Well, actually I didn't throw any ice at anyone, but the security guys came up to me and accused me of throwing ice. I told the guy I would never do that, but I did see some ice flying. He asked me who threw it, and I told him I was not going to do his job for him. I think it was pretty funny because the "VIP"'s were all up in front of people and blocking the view. They more than likely get to see lots of Shinedown shows. It would be nice to see them when I did after all buy a ticket. |

Wow. No one cares about your "ice throwing" experience. If you didn't enjoy the show, well sorry. But none of us want to hear you bitch and moan. The good thing is... Shinedown has such an amazing fan base that it won't be much of a loss without your whiny ass. Being VIP doesn't necessarily mean you're friends with the band. They could know someone at the venue or the radio. It could have been a contest or something with the radio, too. Most of the time, band VIP people are watching from the stage or something. I wouldn't hold it against the band, since they have no way of controlling what others do, you know? I wasn't there, and don't know these VIP people, but I don't think that anyone that's friends with the band would act like that. That sounds more like those people who pay extra for VIP or whatever.
Then again, this is only one side of the story and honestly? If people kept hitting me with ice, I'd be pissed. |

NO need to cry..it will be ok. This was one show..other shows will be different. Believe me after 25 SD shows..I've seen some major assholes in the VIP area and their not always there with SD. mel pretty much said what i was going to say. more times than not band vip's are sidestage. i'm going to go with radio/venue guests as well. regardless of how they got there... i agree it wasn't right for them to be rude to everyone else. sometimes people like to throw their advantages in other people's faces. maybe the ice was karma. but lisa brought up a good point too. you were there to enjoy the band, not worry about some snooty vip people. next time just move, or don't watch near vip. i don't understand watching on the 2nd level (gen admin) anyways. that's like watching a show sitting down to me.

you are no better then them complaining about their complaining. sure they complained about getting ice thrown at them and that is really stupid. but your complaining about getting talked to about the ice throwing. atleast they got hit with something you just had to say i didnt throw any ice. And what kind of reason is that for never going to see the best fucking band in the world ever again?

hey coaster, you shouldn't let the vip dicks ruin your experience. It isn't shinedowns fault they were being assholes. But in case you dont know already if you post anything on this board thats short of "shinedown is the greatest band ever and everything they do is right and perfect" then you're going to get bad mouthed. just a heads up
