Anyone going to this one?
Shinedown's headlining, with P.O.D., Filter, Alter Bridge & Black Stone Cherry on the main stage. Twelve Stones, Another Black Day, Knoxville's own COPPER, Midnight To Twelve & Stereoside are on the Second Stage. Oh, and all this is a mere $23 in advance  So yeah, looks like I'll be driving over to Nashville & flying up to O'Haire, get a cab or something to Grayslake (which is gonna be a bank-breaker at ~35 miles from O'Haire), then get a room somewhere near the airport & fly back on Sunday  |

Dude rent a car when you get your plane ticket..get a package deal thing...it will be cheaper in the long run. You can get a plane ticket, rent a car and book hotel for cheaper than it would be if you got them all separate. Yeah, that hadn't crossed my mind earlier. I'm putting together my package now; a rental would definitely be cheaper.

I was planning on going knowing that at least Shinedown and Black Stone Cherry were going to be there, the other bands are definitely an added bonus. Although that means that BSC will be playing earlier... oh well. Can't wait to see Alter Bridge and Another Black Day again.

Amazing...Amazing..Amazing way to end this leg of the tour!!!! Damn that show was GREAT...well worth the 8 1/2hr drive and getting up at 4am!!!!!
All the bands on the main stage were really good...second stage I didn't watch cause I was right in the front and didn't wanna lose my place for the guys!!!! Black Stone Cherry...LOVE...LOVE...LOVE those boys!!!! They have come so far and are more amazing live than first time I ever saw them w/Shinedown in '05. They have a new album coming out August 19th...GO GET IT..get the their first one if you haven't gotten it yet. Alter Bridge...wow..Myles voice is so amazing..I really like his voice. This was my first time seeing them and I really liked them. There were times that their set seemed to drag on but they were good!!!! I was impressed!!!! Filter...damn good band live. I was impressed with the lead singer cause a fight broke out in the crowd and he stopped mid-song and would not continue unless people stopped fighting..that was very cool. They put on a really good show. P.O.D....hahahaha..all I really wanna say about them is PINEAPPLES!!!!! LMAO!!!! But they had a decent show...it was my first time seeing them, too and I liked it..I think I will see them again. Then was our boys..headlining the whole day and ending it with a bang!!!! I'm so damn proud of them...they have taken so much criticism from people in the past couple of month and the continue night after night playing their hearts out and putting on one of the best rock shows I have ever seen. I'm not just saying that cause their my fave band. I say it because they truly are some of the most down-to-earth and amazing musicians!!!! Can't wait for my next show and it will be soon!!!! After they have a much needed break for something like 14 days. Well, Zach and Eric get that many days. Brent, Barry and Nick went over to Europe for a week to promote their up coming tour over there. I hope they have a good time!!!! I got some pics(imagine that..lol) I should have them up in the coming days..yes I need to upload my last shows pics to photobucket and post some in the other thread. I'm a slacker..I know!!!! It was an amazing show, damn glad that I went.
I agree with what Synner said, except I wasn't feeling Filter. And I gotta say again my love for Black Stone Cherry, they are amazing and have such a great stage presence and the way they interact. Every time I seem them live it just reminds me of the first time I saw Shinedown live... just amazing the chemistry they have. Glad I finally got to see Alter Bridge, that was a really good show. Second time seeing P.O.D., and they were good again... anyone know what was up with the pineapple??? I saw it and I was like WTF. Shinedown of course rocked it and there light show was amazing (except before they started where they kept blinding the crowd with the lights, lol) I just wish Zach would have came out wearing his mask, it seemed like it would be the perfect night for it. And I think Brent is undergoing some kind of metamorphosis and turning into Ozzie, I swear if he puts those red streaks back into his hair, it will be just about complete. So, was anyone from here wearing the white Shinedown SOM shirts that looked homemade (and awesome) with blue spray paint and the Shinedown sticker??? Those were some pretty cool shirts. Also, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it when they bring out Chris (BSC) to help sing Sound Of Madness, him and Brent really seem to have a lot of fun with it and seem to mesh really well. And it's awesome that Chris gave love to Shinedown because without Shinedown there would be no BSC (Thank you very much guys) Hopefully some of the fans give BSC a chance for that reason alone.
