I am so glad Jasin is getting so much attention on this site. But, remember the many times Jasin told all of you.........it's all about you "the fans" and the music.

Enjoy the music and forget about the bashing of him. He is a big boy and he knows he's a true artist, musician and has great stage presence. Watching him and Brent on stage reminded me of the Plant and Page days.....very good together!

He does not get on this site to read these comments or he could have lots of fun with his return messages. He does read your cards and messages on his myspace. Don't forget he has several myspace sites.......one with his motorcycle and the one that was created by a fan. All his fans will remember the many funny and crazy messages he wrote over the many years.

But, as his one and only "Mother" , I will reply back.

Shinedown has many talented musicians as well as their singer. Shinedown's original members Brent, Jasin, Barry and Brad (Zach filling in when Brad left the band) played very well together when there were ONLY FOUR in the band.

Jasin had ALWAYS wanted another guitarist to assist him on the guitars and to add more volume to the overall sound. He had discussed this in the early days many times with Brent.

We are so glad Shinedown added another guitarist to the line up. It was a wise decision.

Again, it was unfortunate that Jasin never had the chance to play with the additional guitarist because of his illness AT THE TIME.

I am so happy that the sound is FULLER and the lead guitarist gets to relaxed some and have a little fun with it now because of the additional guitarist...Zach. Not as much pressure on the lead guitarist with a back up.

If you doubt Jasin is a good guitarist ...listen to LSD on their second CD or any of those major guitar riffs. Also, any radio acoustic show's he played for Brent.....that was all Jasin not any other back up guitarist.

Of course, there is really no need to defend Jasin's guitar expertise.....he is his own artist and his playing speaks for itself.

Yes, when he was not feeling well he was not playing as well..........but, he kept playing on stage without any other guitarist assistance. Remember the vomit video. Very sad for a Mother to see her son that sick and continue to play for his fans. I doubt many other guitarist would had continue to play under those conditions to keep the show going for their fans. By the way, it still sounded pretty good under those conditions. Jasin is a true blooded artist and continues the show even when he is about to die!

Again, Shinedown is fortunate to have another guitar player........congrats! Zach and Nick are very good musicians.

OF course, there is no other Brent or Barry. They are Jasin's true musician brothers'!!!!


Afterall, as Jasin mentioned many times to everyone, it has always been about the music and their fans.

By the way, Jasin is doing great....thanks for your continued love and continue support!

Thanks for updating every now and then and it's great to know Jasin is fine. Jasin will forever be my favorite guitarist ever. And playing while vomiting is amazing because usually when I am throwing up I can't control myself. Also Jasin is an inspiration, because of him I play the guitar and have lots of fun, I also use his tricks (especially the back bend one!). And please bell, tell Jasin that we are big fans of you here in EGYPT!!! and tell him we say YOU ROCK and will always be remembered when anything Shinedown related is heard. Hope you get back on stage soon! and again YOU ROCK!!

I think I've been pretty clear on here about how great I think he is. He is an amazing musician AND person. In a world full of wanna be's and phonies, he is the real deal.
I've always believed that he is a true musician. There are a lot of "musicians" that are doing it for all the wrong reasons. It is very obvious to me, that Jasin is in this for the love of music and his fans. That's how it should be. Unfortunetly, that's not the way it always is.
Whatever Jasin decides to do, I will support him completely. I know that all his loyal fans feel the same way. And there ARE a lot of loyal fans.

I would like to say...Thanks Bell for coming on here and updating us.

I also have to say..I agree with you. I love Jasin to death and I think he knows that. I miss seeing him so much on stage..I want him to get better and hopefully see him back up there. But for right now..I love what Shinedown is up on that stage. Their sound is better than I have ever heard. I'm not saying I like Nick better..but Nick is also an amazing guitarist just like Jasin. And if Jasin ever came back..I bet the sound would be just as amazing!!!! The combination they have going is great!!!!!

I will always love Jasin...no matter what he does!!!!

I wish jasin would come on the boards, just to post us one message that would be amazing..

Bell... if ever Jasin is around when you're filling us in, feel free to strap him to the chair until he writes us a message.

I'm sure people here would flip out if he were to post even a few times a year.

The way you speak gives me less hope that Jasin will be with Shinedown again though, but I guess all good things come to an end. I just hope he's enjoying life right now.

what she said is very truthful, i never doubted his guitar playing, i just wished he put on a show every night, whether it be a live concert, studio, or acoustic shows. ive seen him play amazing stuff but then ive seen less then stellar stuff at another show. and at the time i think its best to have the most consistant guitarist out there (my opinion dont argue) and currently that to me is nick(opinion). who knows in a few weeks maybe months possibly years, we'll get to see Jasin back in the lineup and he'll be better then ever.

im just gonna quote that... everybody can either take it or leave it.

I suppose it's worth mentioning that Nick is new to the band, so everything he does is fresh and cool. What if he does the same things at every show, and doesn't give the passion that Jasin did at the acoustics? Not that I'm saying he WILL, but you know, Nick is still new. So before anyone chooses him over Jasin, perhaps they should give him more time in the band so a fair comparison can be made.

And to be clear, I like both Jasin and Nick. Both great guitarists!

I think it would be cool if Shinedown had three guitarist and two drummers.......remember the Allman Brothers, Doobie Brothers, Ronnie VanZant's Band...the one and only LS, Santana..........they all had many musicians and it sounded great. Idea's any one???

By the way, Jasin is great mentally and physically. He continues to write songs and playing his now famous guitars. Don't ever count him out........he is a survivor!

Thank-you once again for keeping us up to date on Jasin. i know he will be back on stage before we know it and when ever and where ever he is playing you know his true fans will be there to support him because he is awesome. you guys stay strong and i know we will be seeing him soon.

Very wise is Bell, and may I say a hoot to hang with. I almost wanna say she's a more devoted fan than I am...almost. Jasin is lucky to have her as his Mom; she NEVER gives up on him, no matter what.
