Let me just preface this post by saying that the bands from last night played the best show I have ever heard in my entire life. I don't know if it was because the venue had amazing acoustics or what, but the sound was brilliant and everyone was truly on their A game.

With that, though, I must say this was the worst concert experience I have ever had. If people take offense to this, then oh well. But the crowd last night was terrible. It was a shame that for such an amazing performance that it had to be ruined in this way. And it wasn't just me. I had a first time Shinedown attender with me and he says the same thing. Multiple people around me (front and center) had this issue too. It all started when we were continuously being bugged by a man who was tripping out of this world due to alcohol and xanax. It was a wonder that this dude did not OD. He would try to push everyone out of the way to make his own space. He nearly fell so many times and really took everyones focus away from the music. His friend didnt do such a great job at keeping him under control. And I understand that security at rock shows will sometimes turn a head away from things like this, but multiple times they were told of the disruptions and the fact that he was taking the drugs and trying to sell them, yet it took them 2/3 of the show for them to do anything about it. All of this was occurring right around a young kid as well. Brent even had to stop the show twice to call out fans from being disorderly. Also, I do not know if it was because of the larger venue or what, but the noise was nowhere near as loud. Especially during the encore. We were yelling as loud as we could in hopes of others keeping up the energy, but it just didnt seem to happen.

On the positive side though the guys sounded the best that I have ever heard. Eric was trying to say his play was off due to a tipsy celebration of his birthday...but I thought he still played fantastic. Zach, as always, your performances never cease to impress. Awesome to hear Barry get on the mic and work the crowd. Brent sounded absolutely fantastic. He hit every note high and low. The prelude to Call Me gave me chills. The best part was instead of doing Simple Man at this show at the encore, they did a toast to Eric for his birthday. And then Eric and Zach proceeded to have an acoustic guitar showdown. Eric can definitely play a mean version of "More Than Words." Very funny. Overall once the crowd calmed for Shinedown the night was saved. Getting to see these guys play is never a dull moment and is something I will always cherish.

Last nite was my 1st Shinedown concert. I was with a group of people that have seen alot of shows. We all agreed that it was the best sounding(loudness, quality, and vocal) concert we have heard.

My experience in Dallas was like that. This female behind me was so drunk she was bothering about 10 of us in the front row. It was so bad people talked to the security guards saying she was making us very uncomfortable. Her boyfriend had to keep holding her back from wanting to attach another attendee who apparently looked at her wrong.

The worst was at the end though. Barry had thrown his stick at me and it bounced off my hand and a security guard picked it up and gave it to her.
