Silly, I know this won't really get any further than here, but maybe the boards administrators will at least pass the feedback on, right??

Ok saw them with Halestorm, Chevelle and Staind...

So, I am thinking that stage at The Filmore was just a little too small! You guys need your OWN concert now!! I was at the back of venue with my daughter and son-in-law, and could see fine, and loved the crowd interaction. You owned them! Although my son-in-law likes you guys he did go to see Staind too, and we left early during Staind, and on the way home he said "Shinedown OWNED this concert tonight....the lead singer is the right man to be a the front man for Shinedown!"

******

Brent... can I just say....YOU ARE A MUSICAL BEAST! (I mean that in the best way) You are so freaking tall, your stage presence was awesome and your voice matches your BEASTNESS! (I'm going out on a limb and inventing my own words, now k?)...I have not been moved by another rock band in a while (hardcore into Scorpions, Def Lepard, Styx, Foreigner etc)....

I did not even know you guys existed (:::::hanging head in shame::::Smiler until end of last year when my son-in-law (28) said "mum, i know this band...I think you'll like em". I listened and was sold hook line and sinker (and according to my kids I am O-L-D...lol...45)

I am so glad that he introduced me to Shinedown. Of course I had to learn you guys backwards now. I started with Shinedown and worked my way backwards. I have to say that I am glad that you did not pursue the almost Linkin Park sound from the first album. I liked those songs too, and I could find the Shinedown "sound" in them too, but it might have been the influence of the time...I like Linkin Park and some of those genre' bands, but not in my Shinedown. I finally mixed all 3 CD's and now I can't remember which ones came from which CD. Which I like.

You guys have your very own unique sound, from the massive bass and lead guitars, the rhythm, the CELLO (please do NOT lose this!!), the harmonies, to your unique voice. I liked that I could see the development of it through the 3 discs. Its not as easy now to find a unique sound, but you have!!

I have 2 other girls in my office at work that are now just as equally hooked on Shinedown . I was playing the song Sound of Madness on my laptop, and the opening beats and the MASSIVE (clear, articulate) voice of Brent just reached right out, grabbed them, and sucked them in as well! (YES!!) They are also old ladies like myself...lol..

Might have to have your promo folks check out "Rock Jam" in Fruita, CO (Usually happens in September). Its an outdoor venue, open air concert that goes on for a couple days. Or "Red Rocks outdoor amphitheater" up near Denver, CO ...just a couple of places I thought about you guys and how well you could rock the natural acoustics of these venues.

A band that has returned to its Rock roots, (also has a massive guy like Brent - James "JY" Young), writing NEW stuff, playing to new genre's, have been touring almost non-stop for 2+ years, just because they LOVE what they do....is Styx. You and the their band members have more in common than you know.... but, yeah, I figure.... if you are interested, I am sure you will research them on your own...I bet they would love to tour with you guys. I tend to hear an occasional Tommy Shaw influence in your music...even if you don't realize it. They are O-L-D too...lol...It would be awesome to see both you bands sharing a stage for the night...also with Def Lepard, or the Scorps or Foreigner... my son-in-law said "what about with Metallica!!" THAT would be his dream concert.

Second Chance:

I saw somewhere on here you were looking for the "Second Chance" moments, and wasn't able to find it tonight...so is it ok to put it here??

Mines pretty simple...how about the recent death (finally) of my sexually abusive father...saying "goodbye" (even if it was just in my head from 2000 miles away) after 25 years....finally feels like its MY Second Chance...so there ya go...

*******************
Glad I found you guys...makes my son-in-law proud that he started me down this path and got to go with me to see you guys for the first time.

Don't lose your uniqueness. You guys rock!!
