I just got back from the show, and they kicked ass like always. The new songs were tight. Devour was probably my favorite. I told Jasin that, after the show, and he said that, as of right now, he thinks that it will be the first single. But he said that it could change in a couple of weeks when they meet with their producer.

I'll get on tomorrow and write more about the show and try to post some of my pictures.

holy hell. what can i say? just got home, finally. was the best SD show i've been to. the boys were AMAZING. there aren't words great enough to describe the night. Operator kicked fuckin ass. sexiest guitar players i ever did see. wow. then shinedown...ah yes. i was about 2 people back from the front. (blame my alarm clock for not waking me up from my nap so i could get there early enough).

the preacher was amazing, talked about Iraq and how young people should get out and vote. right after the first song he took off in the crowd in the very back and made every person stand up and come onto the floor. that was sweet. jasin, wow. nice fuckin pants dude. i told him that again while we took our pic together. i love all the funny faces and the middle finger you kept givin us. zach, you kick so much ass. thanks for hanging out with us outside for so long. it was freakin hilarious to see the operator boys come sneaking up trying to hide behind fake plants they were carrying and busting your ass with the nerf guns. barry, so much energy man. you rocked the house tonight. all of you, you give music a reason to keep goin. i LOVE all the new songs. i hope we gave you the feedback you were askin for and put all 3 of them songs on the album. the dedication to Eugene was very sweet. i was happy to see that. all around, it was a perfect show, once again. thanks to all the guys and can't wait to see you again.

haha, i wish. i have a better pic i took right after they signed me but my computer was being a jackass last night. i'll try and work on it today. i was trying to get a good pic of jasin's booty hangin out of them pants but he wouldn't hold still long enough.

Just wanted to say I'm a relatively new fan of Shinedown who had the chance to go see the show last night. I didn't know a whole lot about what to expect from the band, but let me tell you this was easily one of the best performances I have seen from a band. The passion that they obviously put into their music impressed me as much as anything, but the way Brent poured his soul out to the crowd and the quality of his voice (simple man gave me shivers) added up to a band I cannot wait to have come back so I can see them again.

I got there a couple of hours before the gates opened. While we were waiting, the local radio station cam up and asked people in the line if they wanted to go back and meet Operator. I went, of course, but the only one there was Johnny Strong- the lead singer. I got his autograph, and he was cool enough.

For the concert my friend and I were front and center. Deepfield was pleasantly surprising. They covered Eleanor Rigby, by The Beatles. It was very badass. Operator was great, as well. I know its been said a thousand times but Strong sounds EXACTLY like Chris Cornell.

ms.mindless, did a great job recapping Shinedown. To add to her set list, the boys played Junkies as well. During Crow and the Butterfly, Jasin's guitar went out and they finished the song withouyt it. After the show, Jasin seemed really stoked to get in the studio on Sept. 17. He went on about how great of a producer Caballa is.

One of the best SD shows I've ever been to. Can't wait to see them again in '08!

Ms.mindless, Thanks for posting so quickly!!! Sounds like it was a great night, and I love your pictures, you lucky girl. You and zach look so cute together. Only two more days until Marshfield woohoo!
