Hey everyone,

Shinedown was amazing at Orlando's House of Blues. From the old stuff to the new material, Brent, Barry, Jasin, and Zach were awesome. The openers, No Circus and Social Ghosts, were decent, but the high energy from Shinedown made the show great.

The new material:
Junkies For Fame, Devour, Crow and the Butterfly, and the short cover of Change were outstanding. The sound is much of the same, but I felt like the lyrics were some of the best from the band. I wasn't too fond of Sound of Maddness, but by that time, my ears were ringing a bit, so the jury's out.

I don't remember the setlist, but the songs that were played (Not in correct order (If it is, then rock on)) were:
Fly from the Inside
Junkies
Left Out
Burning Bright
I Dare You
The Sound of Madness
Better Version
Devour
Heros
45
The Crow and the Butterfly
Change
Simple Man
Save Me

Sorry if I left out a few, but I'm sure one of the fellow Junkies could correct me (Please do, so I can make a playlist on my IPod).

Other than that, the guys were on tonight. Brent's vocals are the best they have ever been, especially since they have this quick tour rather than the long ones they are used to. Jasin impressed a lot of "non" Shinedown fans at the show tonight, but he's still same ol' Styker to us fans. Barry still kicks ass (period). I never have seen Zach before, so I was really impressed with him. Even if he doesn't stay with Shinedown, he is one of the best musicians in the business and he showed plenty of his skills tonight.

Lots of crowd interaction tonight. I heard about the Rockford show and the problems that it had, but this show had plenty of the normal stuff, like moshing, tornados, crowd-surfing, etc. The energy was great.

I finally got to see Shinedown headline for the first time and I loved every minute of it. I can't wait for the new album to come out, especially after hearing the five songs live. Once again, an awesome show and thanks to Shinedown for making my Labor Day weekend even better. Good luck on tour, guys.

Leesa-Hey, I was at the Orlando show. First time seeing Shinedown. Wish I could've met you. Met several people from the board. They were all awesome. I literally just walked in from the drive so am really tired. Round trip was 1,000 miles but worth every second it took getting there. Hope to see ya next time around. I'll post more later after a little rest!

We love you, Jasin! " You set me up to fucking fail this time!"

Zach- Hey, just got back from Orlando. Wanted to let you know that you guys were awesome. I wanted to thank you for signing my son's Shinedown Junkies shirt and letting me take his picture with you. He is so proud of both. I'll post the picture in the next day or so. You guys look like you could be related! He's only 8 years old and it was his first concert. What a great first concert! He was front and center. And then to get to meet you guys. It was a dream come true for him. Thanks again for being so sweet. SmilerI have so much respect for you guys.

Since it was an awesome show, and I've lost count how many times it's been that I've seen them, I won't give a full review, but just say that they were great. It REALLY makes me look forward to the new album even more!

I managed to snag a pic from Zach for my little cousin and then we got to meet him Big Grin

3rd time seeing them at HOB, 4 total, and they were amazing as always. Did the pass the line meal thing and got decent leaning spots in the back left corner of the floor. Happy they did burning bright since the last time they were here at EDBD 13 they didnt play it. I dont know why but i really dont care for the new songs. Loved both albums but im worried about this next one. If i didnt have class or work on thursday i would drive over to tampa for the free concert.

I was really stoked as well to hear "In Memory", that is a high favorite of mine, too, Leesa. And it was really neat to meet you, though by looking at your SD show list, we've actually been to a lot of the same shows, lol.

I really, really enjoyed the new stuff, particularly Sound of Madness, so I, along with everyone else here, cannot wait for the new album!

The boys were really on that night, Jasin looked in the zone, Brent was more crazy than ever, Zach is just too cool as usual(oh, and Zach, thanks a lot, now my girls have a huge crush on you, lol, "he's SO cute"), and Barry I don't think knows how good he really is, playing perfectly even with a sprained wrist!

What a pleasure it was to see lots of boardie friends, and to meet new ones! Everyone was so nice, and I just felt giddy most of the night, so sorry if I was a ratchet jaw to anyone, lol.
Cindy

The show was flippin SWEET!!!!!!!! Devour and Sound of Madness..so bad ass beyond all belief. Junkies..always a great song in my book. Crow and the Butterfly...so much better with a full band and a great song lyrically. The show as definitely one of the best if not the best show I've seen from them!!!! The old songs sounded so great. The show as a whole was awesome. I can't wait for the album..I just hope that all the song played on this tour make the album...cause that would be sad if they didn't!!!!

yeah, it was kool meeting the boardies that i did... chilling in the hot ass fl line. 80s lady, i hope the triplets don't start any fires but if they do... don't send me the bill. shinedown dared them. it says so Razzer although you might have to watch out for them putting those shot glasses to use too Wink
btw, i saw them in the crowd during the show. jeez, can they rock out or what?!?!! they really enjoyed that show.

i actually dig the new songs. i was a little worried at first too cos i saw some of the vids peeps have put up. those vids do the songs NO justice. i love all the new stuff. "devour" is already a favorite and i can't wait to crank it up on my radio and sing like nobody's around.

That's too funny about the matches and glasses, Leesa, yeah , they came and took them back from me the next day. They were like, Mom, they're OURS, please let us have them, lol. And yes, they are already seasoned rail riders, wait, that doesn't sound too good, let's say barricade beauties, lol. I promised them if we made it to the rail, that they would have the time of their lives, and they did! Thanks again to the guys for giving us such an awesome show, for even Zach to say it was one of his best, wow, I didn't think it was possible to improve upon an already extraordinary, amazing experience, but they did!

hahaha, my son did that when we lived in Orlando. Burned down 1/2 an acre of pine trees. We were on the 6 oclock news. I was SO proud. hope you detect the sarcasm in that.
