We were there too & I have to say I agree 100%. This is the third time we've seen Shinedown in the past 7 months. Every time has been great but each time they get better and better. These 4 guys are the most talented, down to earth people on the road today. I really appreciate when Brent says they are where they are because of the fans. So many groups forget that. It was a disappointment that the civic center was only at half capacity though. People in Roanoke really missed out if they opted to stay home.

Hi, glad you two had a good show. Any chance you could let us know what the setlist was? Doesn't need to be in order, just curious to see what was played.

Hi Ray,
It hadn't really changed that much since I saw them in Raleigh. The order was just changed up.

This isn't the order, but some of what I can think of.

Call Me (My fav)
Heroes
45
Save Me
Devour
If You Only Knew
Sound of Madness
Cyanide Sweet Tooth Suicide
Crow & the Butterfly
Burning Bright

Now that I think about it, I don't remember Sin with a Grin. Hmm. Don't hold me to that one though. I've got a couple videos on my facebook if you want to look me up. lisac89

Ray - I stand corrected. My husband and son reminded me they didn't play Burning Bright or Crow & the Butterfly. & I left off Second Chance (I don't how I did that!)

Did I miss any Zach???

Klaus- Sorry you missed the show! I think you were at the Raleigh show right? I laugh when I see your name. See, I love Shinedown & their shows, I'm just clausterphobic. LOL I always talk myself in to going to the front and never make it through the jumping. I'll be the girl in the Shinedown Nation shirt standing to the side of the stage enjoying my own space. LOL. Hopefully they will be back in the NC area soon. I'm already trying to figure out my next show. Maybe KY state fair. It's about 6 hrs from here. Smiler

They also played Left Out for the "Hardcore Shinedown Fans" as Brent put it. I was actually down front and most of the people around me didn't even recognize the song. The girl standing to my left even asked me, "Is this a Shinedown song?"

It was a really good show though, especially since I hadn't seen the boys play in about 8 months.

Where you been? Where you from? Don't you know us? We're the ones who got to steal the sun.

yeah, i was at the raleigh one. my avitar pic was taken that night. it would be REALLY hard to top that show. it was AMAZING. i was the tall fker about halfway back getting about a foot more vertical than everyone else during the up and down segments :P

the carolinas always seem to get the shaft for a lot of concert tours. another band i used to love, Collective Soul, would never come here either

You're right Shiner. I forgot they played that one.

Klaus - the Raleigh show was incredibly awesome! I love the smaller venue. Big difference in this show was Brent's voice was a lot stronger. The time off & all the acoustic shows they did really gave his voice a much needed rest. NC still gets some really good shows. Try southwest VA. We get nothing so I was more than thrilled to be able to see Shinedown an hour from the house! Hopefully we'll catch up at another show soon. Smiler

i thought brent's voice was perfect at the raleigh show. good stuff if it was even better in VA. according to my mom, the rock station here in charlotte is perpetuating rumors that they might be coming through here this summer. i don't listen to the radio, so i don't know what they are actually saying or if she was misunderstanding though.
