Hey guys! Took my 14 yr old Nick to his first concert on May the twenty second at the rib cookoff.Of course, we didnt give a rats ass about ribs...we came for one and ONLY one reason...the awesome rock music that is Shinedown! It was the first time in years that Ive felt that close to him again...except when we did the Shinedown rise...he wouldnt jump and got embarassed when I did...I said, "Hey...Im having a great time...go stand somewhere else if you dont like it lol!". I have to tellyou...LOVED LOVED LOVED THE OPENING! Weve been watching the clips from fans for weeks on youtube, and there isnt a day that goes by that we arent onShinedown .com watching vids! Even my 6 yr old Max and 5 yr old Jack love you guys! Whenever I put you on, they come runing into the room to sit and watch/listen.
Brent, thank you for re-awakening my faith in rock and roll singers and true strong frontmen who stand out because of their voices and personalities and not because of make up or gimmicks! I am very hopeful of coming to your Toledo show Aug 25th and I am very much looking forward to possibly meeting you if I can! Thank you for everything your music and your creative spirits mean to me and my family!
