I was impressed with you all when I saw you. I really liked the way you interacted with the audience. My seats were not close (upper deck) and I wanted to get closer so purchased a pair closer but off to the very edge of the east side. I had to view the show on a big screen if I really wanted to see, but found myself wanting to see the real thing.
Brent, I felt as though you already knew what I had written and were trying to show me proof that everything was ok. You did look well. I liked that you took your sunglasses off for nearly the entire show. Thank you. Your eyes are very expressive and you know how to use them. Well done! I have never been to the Grandstand for a concert before. I had been told how bad the acoustics were there by anyone who has ever been there. Front and center is the only decent spot there. I couldn't understand much of the songs, and had no idea what the lyrics to Rev Theory songs were. I had yours mostly memorized so had little difficulty. I noticed that most of the people in my area were having that difficulty also. There were a lot of young girls w/fathers who were approx. my age, but they seemed so much older. The girls were all lining up along the rail or wherever they could get closer. The girl behind me borrowed my phone so she could text a thank you to her dad for bringing her to the concert. It showed up on the big screen. I thought that was sweet. I realized that I could have come to the concert alone and would have felt comfortable. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. I hope that you will come back to Des Moines, but at a different venue. Something that is better suited to music. I did quite a bit of screaming/yelling and nearly lost my voice for a couple of days. I understand now why you have to change the songs to fit your range on any given day. You put a lot of stress on your voice without having many days off. I don't know how you manage such a rigorous schedule. You all get quite a workout every night. I really wanted to to meet you. After the concert I went around to the access gate. I talked with the security guy for a while and found out that you made an appearance at the Bud Tent around 5:30pm. He also said that you don't roll out after the show for hours. Usually around 3:00 am. I was impressed again at how you maintain as well as you do with such a hectic sleep schedule. I am sorry for my wild observations. I hope you can forgive me for any offense you took by what I wrote. I really thought it was some kind of devine intervention initially. I let myself think that I was going to get proof enough to make me a believer by meeting you that night. Well it was a bit of a letdown. I am glad that you are all well. It appears that your significant others were with you as well. That's good. I'm glad as I only want you to be happy and enjoy life. It was nice to see you smile so often. I hope you will make it back here again and maybe I'll get lucky enough to meet you. I wasn't aware of your group soon enough to get good seats at the last concert. You have many faithful followers and I can see why. I am still addicted to the songs, even after listening to nothing else for the past month. Hope you keep producing them as I want to keep hearing them. Love, SA |
