Has the biggest e-penis EVAR!!!! |
Is it about the music or about property?
As Musicians if you had an entire album or songs that had already been recorded, Let's say you would never release them they will just sit in nothingness forever. Is your right to your property (music) more important that the passion to put music out there, seeing as you have millions of fans what would your take be on this dichotomy? Love of the music and fans or It's my property |

I get what you're saying, but I think the right to property is more important (and certainly not as cutthroat selfish as some might think). It's kind of (although not exactly) like an artist and people have found little doodles he did at the start of his career. Maybe they don't best represent him, maybe he's not really proud of the material or feels it's not good enough to be out there...
... so regardless of what we think, even if it's that they could do no wrong and EVERYTHING they do is/would be fantastic... if they don't want something out there, we, the supporting fans, should really respect that. We don't have a right to hear everything... as much as we might wish we did. We're entitled to what the band wants to give us and nothing else, really. .........you know, hypothetically speaking. - www.theraywilson.com Break your silence and tell them who you are, they’re all witness to a shooting star... |

Honestly man, how long are you going to keep going at this? They are not obligated, nor should they be expected to release everything they have ever recorded. There are countless valid and understandable reasons why they wouldn't want to have it released. Maybe it's of personal nature. Maybe they don't feel it represents them. Maybe they feel it's a poor reflection on their talent. Whatever. Being pressed for it continually, or even the reason why if they don't want to give it, is probably rather unpleasant.
Edit: I didn't read ray's reply first. lot of duplicate material in there :P ---------------------------------- Fading, falling, lost in forever... NI! |

I get what Klaustrophobia and Ray have said, don't agree with it but get it. Still think it's rather selfish for any artist that has basically made it, to hold back any type of material that the fans could have and enjoy, and then use threates if it ever happened to get released. Seems like an artist who made music would care more about the music.
disagree go ahead: Sorry but I don't respect an artist right to censor their material. Don't write on public walls, and expect some to be discarded, or covered up. Some of us like walls we've never seen. |

Here is the thing, i listen to the album and you have too... You have to admit, the album feels uncomplete, I mean no offense to them, but if they released that album it would not have nearly been as good as LAW, you have to respect what every brent wants, maybe he does not want people to hear the uncomplete album...
