On Second Chance, the liner notes from the cd jacket say "I just saw Halley's Comet, she waved" ..But in the actual song it doesn't sound like you say "She waved". Am I hearing it wrong or did you change the lyrics?

i don't even understand how "she waved" is so difficult to believe listening to the song. that's actually what i heard before i ever saw the lyrics written.

You can't blame us for what Brent wrote. We weren't sitting with him, telling him which words to use. By your theory, Hailey's Comet is a thing and therefore shouldn't be called "she," but it is. Comets also don't speak. Since he anthromorphized the comet, it makes sense that it waved. |

I also heard "shooting" until I looked at the lyrics sheet, and I have to force myself to hear "she waved" to this day.
After this I looked for any other things I was hearing wrong and came across this in Cyanide Sweet Tooth Suicide.... "She's a looker just like Ann Nicole Oh no Not the silver let's go straight for the gold." I can look past an Ann/Anna typo, but I'm sticking with "fuck the silver" instead of "not the silver". anyone else?? |
