Are you guys coming out with a new cd?

Sooner or later... probably later.

I think I heard something about a late 2010 release, correct me if my memory betrays me.

I highly doubt they'll be coming out with a new CD anytime soon. all the touring, family, friends, and whatever else they got going on plus writing songs, recoding, and all is gonna make the new CD (if there ever is 1) come out in at least a year or two

but i can't wait for the new CD! i know every shinedown song by heart and their music helped me out so much to realize who i was and what i want to be. it maybe be corny but there just seems to be something nobel about them like they care about the fans and not themselves and dont let the fame go to their heads

The Sound of Madness would be utterly wasted potential if a new cd came out before AT LEAST 2 more singles are released.

I heared that they tour until the end of 2010 and then they go in the studio or of course make a break. So I think the new record will come out in 2012

Even if they toured until the end of 2010 (Which I doubt that long, maybe mid-2010), it wouldn't take them over a year to make the new CD. They already have about 15 songs demoed for the new album.

My bet is WHEN they stop touring, they'll take a short break, and then starting working on the next album, which shouldn't take long from there. The only real question is when they'll stop touring for SOM; we seem to be getting mixed answers from different members.

We probably get "mixed" answers because some things aren't finalised yet or fall through and other opportunities pop up along the way. Lots of wheeling and dealing as they go, I'd bet.

Oh, well of course. I wasn't intending to mean, "They all suck because they're trying to confuse us, damn them!" obviously they won't know for sure how long they'll be touring.

I just meant that instead of them all having some idea as when they'll stop touring, they all have different thoughts on a seemingly monthly basis, which means things keep changing.

Ray is right. Zach was never misquoted in saying late 2010 but I think that got shot down cause that didn't turn out right. Just like the new songs in Europe. Brent did in fact say that. I saw the interview. But things didn't seem to pull together. Now in an interview in Paris I believe. Barry said it will be 2011. And SWAG it will NOT take over a year. The time they were given to write TSOM was a gift. 19 months. They've got 15 songs demoed. That's a good amount if you plan on putting an album out in 2011. It shouldn't be a long time for recording.

In response to Helldevil saying they'll end touring at the end of 2010, and the album should be out in 2012. Which equals over a year of recording. Which it won't take them that long.

Oh well I skimmed everything so whatever lol. But they won't tour until the end of 2010. I bet like September probably. The album will have had it's brains beaten out by the end of 2010. That is a TON of support.

Brent's comment was misunderstood. By "new songs" he meant the bonus tracks for SOM, not anything properly new.

I have heard in numerous interviews that a new album would be released roughly in 2011. My best bet is that when they do Australia, Japan and I don't know about New Zealand but after they tour those countries they may stop touring have about a months break and then go into the studio to start recording. So I reckon about mid year next year they will start and release it sometime in 2011
