This is really just to let the band know how much one little song has affected so many lives. The lives of one circle of friends called the club sandwich.

It started with two people, two very special friends of mine. They had alot going on in their lives and they took off together, trying to find their way. they didnt speak to me for about a week, when I heard your song "second chance". As a last ditch effort to get them to talk to me, I texted the chorus to second chance.

Little did I know what was happening on the other end when they received that message. They were scared beacuse of what they had done, what people would think of them, and to get those powerful lyrics at that moment from a friend like me, changed their world.

That was back in feburary of this year. So much has happened since then, they have gone from couple to pregnant, too not speaking now.

During every hard time, that song has been on the radio at just the right moment. Its like that songs lyrics were coming out every moment and the emotion found its way into words. We now just text shinedown and we all know what it means.

Now, your new song is out "if you only knew" and it is slowly helping them remember those times. Its a plea, from them both to get back together. It all happened with one song, a few words and alot of emotion.

The guy is this story, his name is billy mathis and he is a inspiring photographer. He took a picture at a lake near where we all lived and named it "the club sandwich". It is a beautiful picture of trees with each friend having their place.

I just wanted to let you know how impactful this song and many others of yours has been. It has been a pleasure being a fan and continue to make the great music you do. Thank you so much for writing a song of that caliber and inspiring us to remember those moments in our life.
