My fiance and I will be getting married September 18, 2010 and wanted to have "If You Only Knew" as our first dance as something different instead of some old country song like everyone else has, but i was wondering if there was a recorded acoustic version to use thats slowed down a bit? that would make my wedding.

was listening to Octane on xm today & they played an acoustic version on IYOK & it was awesome(like it better than the cd version). Thought about this thread. Dont know how to get a copy but if its on the radio im sure theres a way. Good Luck!

Oh yeah, and it's lovely. I have part of it recorded, but not the whole thing, and the first part's messed up. I keep hoping to hear it again so that I can record the whole thing, and hopefully not messed up due to a wonky signal!

Maybe you can use an audio program to slow it down a little bit, but then be aware that the pitch is the same and not goes down

Why dont you just find a really good solo acoustic performer who can learn the song and play it live at your wedding??

Does it REALLY matter if its not being performed by Shinedown? As a first wedding dance, surely its the lyrics that mean the most?
