I will be surprise if this message is not deleted but here are the facts.

FACTS: Jasin did not get convicted of any charges in Jacksonville. He was walking on the road minding his own business when the Jax Beach police (who are known to have fun beating up folks) attacked Jasin for no reason. He has the long hair and a beard so they just assumed he was a bad person. Jasin was visiting his children.

Jasin was getting his life back together but I guess it was not fast enough for Atlantic Records. It is so sad that when you are down, the people that you gave your heart and soul to drop you without a care. Shame on them for dropping him since Brent and Jasin were the reason the fans came...........they were the "performer's".

I hope his fans will believe that Jasin loves each and everyone of them. Shinedown will not be the same without JASIN. Brent and Jasin were SHINEDOWN. Jasin was a MAJOR performer and his fans loved him.

Atlantic Records made this decision not Brent Smith. His hands are tied.

The new guitarist is a great guy. He also lost his job with his band. Jasin and him were close friends. Jasin loved the guy.

Please let Atlanic Records know how you feel about this change. Jasin is better and they need to give him a chance.

He went through a terrible divorce, lost a close friend to drugs, been through rehab and is recovering every day until he got the notice today about he will not be apart of Shinedown any longer.

What has happen to folks taking care of one another? This is not right!

Please let it be known that he was and will forever be the greatest SHINEDOWN guitarist and performer.

THIS IS NOT RIGHT!!!!

bell i've been suspicious of your identitly ever since you started posting here. i had an odd feeling you knew more about what was going on than most of us.
i think that this whole story is way to detailed to be fabricated, and although i'm not sure this much detail about his personal life should be posted on a public forum i think that this whole sitatuion has just gotten even more fucked up.

agreed.

Jasin best of luck to you. you are an incredibly talented guy and i hope you pull through this horrible sitatuion. you will be missed and shinedown will NEVER be the same without you. there will forever be a hole without you there.
life has its ups and downs, hopefully all of this will only make you stronger. you rock, and have thousands of fans that stand by you, don't ever forget that!

peace!

Gray - bell doesn't know any more than the rest of us I believe, but she does read the main page of the site. Brent also posted a bulletin on myspace today with the news. The "new" guitarist is Nick Perri from Silvertide, and the bassist is Eric Bass...

Bell - I TOTALLY agree with you here. Atlantic will recieve an email from me about this. And to everyone else, don't just talk the talk, walk the walk and send them an complaint too. Don't just think about it, do it if you care. Yeah, Nick is great, but c'mon, Jasin is THE MAN. Shinedown won't be the same band without him.

They need to buy out of their contract like Alter Bridge did. (If it's possible and doesn't break them.) Atlantic - MEH.

You can blame Atlantic all you want, but he was given many opportunities to clean up his act. I really do like Jasin as an artist, and I don't know him as a person to judge him on that. But you only get so many chances in life, especially when you are making money to play music. It comes down to actually following through with your personal responsibility to stay clean and deal with your demons.

I really do wish him the best, and I hope he gets through this rough spot in his life as soon as possible. But please, don't act like he is completely innocent.

Well as it's rumored that he was really getting his life back together, I think most of us assume that he was given a raw deal. But, there are so many stories going around about what was going on, it's hard to form a clear picture of what's going on and whose fault it is.

I'm just going to miss this:

i know, i found out via the bulletin on myspace, i'm just referring to the added personal details about what's going on in jasin's life, which you know may or may not be completly true, and i'm not sure this was the place to air his personal business...but anyway...

if this holds any truth, this is truly upsetting.

On another note, I read the article on the "arrest."

that is also very true. I really just wish him the best and hope he comes out on top of all of this! Frowner
so much speculation right now, but whatever the REAL details are. he has so much potential, and is an amazing musician! shinedown will NEVER be the same. period.

Morgoth, she knows more than you think she does. This I promise you.

Ralph, not to be rude, but you're not in the band's super tight inner circle, so you really don't have a place to say anything about what chances anyone's been given. It's no one's place to speculate on such things.

As for the different stories, remember that there are always two sides.

ETA: Grayguitar, normally I'd agree about the personal details, but trust me when I tell you that if anyone can get away with posting this, it's bell. This post was automatically sent to moderation and I approved it...if that tells you anything. Wink

well just by the posts prior to this i've had a feeling about bell (from my lurking this past month or so because of how entertaining it had become), this latest post kind of verified it, but still there's always a chance i could be wrong and they were some random person airing stuff not warrranted. Smiler the fact that it's made it through your moderation lets me know my hunch was right all along.

i'd been avoiding the drama, but i couldn't for something like this. it's no longer entertaining. it's completly upsetting Frowner
