Nickelback?! I thought Puddle of Mudd was bad!? I guess with the increased popularity - which Shinedown definitely deserves! - means they will be paired with some awful bands in the upcoming tours. It's too bad. Stick with Black Stone Cherry and Halestorm.

Agreed, stay away from Nickelback. Its a double slap in the face, not only does Shinedown have to share a stage with these fuckers, but because of Shitelback, SD has to play a 45 minute set...pffft. I'd rather see SD play 1.5 to 2 hours and be the headliners, fuck these other bands. If you are going to tour with another band that is going to be a headliner than tour with Disturbed again, not these talentless hacks!

Yeah I don't get why they still have to be an opening band, even with all their success. They are definitely popular enough to bring in enough tickets. The least they should have to do is co-headline. I am glad they are touring with Breaking Benjamin though. I would be way more excited for this tour if it was a Shinedown/Breaking Benjamin co-headlining tour. I'm still waiting for a Sno Core Tour sequel with Seether thumbsup. Shinedown could tour with Seether for the rest of their career like BB/TDG did for a while and I would never get tired of it. I don't despise Nickelback like a lot of people, but I am disappointed that SD has to have a short set because of them. Not to mention the ticket prices are probably gonna suck because of NB's popularity frustrated.

In essence it's doing them a huge favor. Thousands of people will latch on after the tour. So it is in fact rather positive.

My beef with Nickelback: I'm sick of listening to the same shit over and over again...THEY ARE MUSICAL GENIUSES. But how many times can you sing about sex before I wanna throw up? They ruin songs by doing it too often...Shakin Hands...SEX...musically that song is absolutely awesome. The lyrics bring it down...Now Next Go Round..musically sound..lyrically asphyxiating.. .. Like sing about your climb to the top...i dont care how many girls you've fucked...honest to god...sing about something real...

I wouldn't want fans to "latch on". SD will get their an has got their own fan base without garbage like nickleback.

nickelback is entertaining live. ronpaul, i agree with your assessment of them. their ticket prices aren't too bad compared to a lot of other similar-status bands. or at least when i saw them 3 years ago.

imo, the worst thing about this tour is it will likely be in collesiums (sp?) where the acoustics are horrendous.

"Nickelback is entertaining live" would require the group to produce good music, which it doesn't. Instead, it produces record after record containing songs that will be played on the radio. I hate everything that's associated with Nickelback, especially when you look at other bands out there that put their heart and soul into their music (i.e., Hurt) and get no recognition whatsoever. These bands have to look at Nickelback and go, "It's that easy for us, too. But we choose to play what we love and what we believe in."

I don't think Nickelback is revolutionary in any way whatsoever, and I will not attend a Nickelback concert.
