Couldn't find this on any other thread, so I made my own! Has anyone heard about Brent Smith co-writing the song on Chris Daughtry's CD called "There And Back Again". Which completely sounds alot like Shinedown's material. I was surfing DAUGHTRY's page on myspace and found a photo of him and Brent. Noted: "Brent and me up late writing a piece" or something of the sort. Anywho, I told a few frineds own myspace about it and sweet Olivia gave me the scoop that since Chris Daughtry sang "I Dare You" on American Idol, Brent wanted to help write a song for Chris's album. So he helped write the song "There And Back Again". I know this isn't complete rumor, because I googled it and fought it to be true. Has anyone else figured this one out too????? What do you think of the song?
As for me, complete magical brilliance. Once they put two intelligent heads together they wrote a song of amazement & totally RAWKS!!!! |

Well, if you buy Daughtry's album(WHICH YOU SHOULD) and you read who wrote each song you see that 'There and Back Again" was written by Chris Daughtry and Brent Smith. So it is true. And I absolutely love this song and the whole album.

Yeah., I've had the album for quite some time now. But just never read who wrote that specific song...Well, until today anyways. Found to my surprise and thought it's pretty damn cool!!

I also really like this song, and the rest of the album for that matter. But, if you actually read the rest of the booklet you'll see that Daughtry had a lot of guests on that album. For instance, on the song "What I Want" Slash plays the lead guitar and has a small solo. So, Chris got to work with a few musical geniouses to make an amazing album. This is a really good album that does have a little bit of a Shinedown sound to it.

The song Sunday Bloody Sunday cover is an awesome performance. That guy sure can sing his heart out!
Shinedown did an out~fucken~standing job covering U2 as well in the song "One" on Stripped. Though I can't find the link anymore. |

Yes he is and the funny part is they look like mine....
I really seem like a Brent poser but in my defense I've had my glasses like that long before I saw the picture lol I'm a band nerd, but it's okay cuz Jasin said he is too! lol |
