Yes. I am sad. I wanted 7 out of 7 for Shinedown's singles hitting the Top 5. Well, at least they are 7 out of 7 for top 10. It still has not been out that long, maybe it will do an amazing turnaround!

yeah.. Im not a know it all like it seems in alot of my posts but beleive it or not I listen to shinedowns music everyday all day. In my job Im not required to talk to anyone because the type of job it is. So I listen to my ipod, and I just didnt have a great feel for Heroes the beat at entrance of the song was awesome! and the lyrics had great meaning but the entrance beat was so big your like damn this is gonna be a awesome song already from the start and then after that its slow... slow... slow.. maybe starting out slower and ending with a big bang like (save me) would of worked?

Im not offended my critisism so spill it out if you want but im sure some of your will agree.

Im not ragging shinedown because I think there most talented band/musicians out there but I get very dissapointed when there music doesnt do better than some of these other dumb ass rock bands. and where is your singing talent in all this rap shit? but it seems thats what people want, People dont focus on the musicians voice and other band skills guitar/drums/exe...

Shinedown is just the best its best put that way...

Hard rock never gets the airplay it deserves, never has. Remember Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Grand Funk Railroad, Yes, Rush, Stone Temple Pilots, Bad Company, Soundgarden, Anthrax, Iron Maiden, Alice in Chains, etc.? Did they ever get shitloads of airplay back in the day, no, neither will Shinedown, Seether, Silvertide, Puddle of Mudd, Velvet Revolver, Disturbed, etc. But there is enough of us out there that breath hard rock to support them. We are NOT mainstream, don't wanna be. We don't listen to pop (i.e., popular) music, we don't wear suits and ties, we don't wear frilly dresses, we don't drive minivans. Really, we're the fucking freaks of the world and we like it that way, the alternative makes our skin crawl, because 'normals' don't look so normal to us. Besides, someone's gotta be the devil's little children else the 'good' folks have nothing to compare themselves to, or stare at, or talk about, or feel elevated above.

It's so so true. That's why I think a lot of times it's not well recepted. I for one, love Heroes. I love it better than 'Shed Some Light', I love it better than 'Someday'. I also love 'Begin Again' (my favorite Shinedown song of all time! lol) so maybe I'm a bit partial when it comes to 'Heroes' being the sinlge. Basically, I just wanna rock. lol

lol, are you sure you're listening to the right song?! When I think of or hear 'Heroes', the word 'slow' definitely does not come to mind. Even in the middle and towards the end when Brent stops singing, Barry drums the hell out of his set. He kills it! I love Barry's work so much. Big Grin Anyways, to each his own I guess! Smiler

I4C said that "we [Shinedown fans] don't wear suits and ties." Well, I do wear a suit and tie to work every day since my job requires it. I guess I am not the "typical" SD fan, but I think that the appeal of SD's music is wider than most people think. When I bring my attorney friends to a SD show, they are amazed. They start thinking that they will not like these "long-haired, pierced-lip freaks" and then they love the show. The music, the intense live show, and the way SD shows love for the fans wins them over.

I think what makes shinedown so great it brents voice, not to downplay how hard the other band members have to work.. its a TEAM effort. but brents voice is so raw and real it just gives you chills like the acoustic version of fly from the inside. thats my favorite song by the way. like i said it just pops out at you!

#7! Alrighty then, most excellent. May not be #1, but think about this. How many bands can you think of in any genre that have 7 songs getting airplay right now? One, my friends, only one--Shinedown. And that's from 2 records in less than 5 years! I said 2 records, people, 7 songs, 2 records, less than 5 years! Can you dig how special that is? That speaks volumes of staying power and extraordinary skill to me. These fellas ain't no flash one-hit wonders and they ain't no lip-synkyrs.

Only once, and it was on a bet.
That was the most embarrasing episode of COPS I have ever been on.

They're up to #6 on the radio and records rock chart. Not bad, an increase of 100 plays after 14 weeks on the charts is pretty good, most singles have leveled off after that long on the charts. The song had the second most increased plays this week, behind only Three Days Grace's new single.

What a wicked game to play
To make me feel this way
What a wicked thing to do
To make me dream of you

Lol i can never find the page to go to to see the charts, can someone post them. But I was going to say I've heard Heroes on the radio more lately then ever so I think its going to get up maybe to 5(I really hope so). And i didnt think they were 6/6 for top 5 on the chart singles i thought but i just saw on wikipedia they have.
I still cant figure out how Us and Them hasnt went gold yet when the singles on it have done much better t hen the L.A.W singles. Well I think if Shinedown puts out that live Heroes Video they were talking about they might get a little airplay on Fuse and get up to 5.
