Brent came on the air around 8:02.

-Talked about "Devour." Brent talks about how it is a message to George W. Bush and about how seeing the troops over in the Middle East caused him to write this song.
-Buckethead talked about how it's the heaviest (and most political) song he's heard so far from Shinedown.
-They talked about the new album, and Buckethead talked about how he heard six songs from the album, and once again compared it to Guns N' Roses' "Appite for Destruction." He said it is diverse and it really gives Shinedown a new sound.
-Brent made a interesting comment about the album. This is paraphrased, "It's like a hole that you have to get out of; by the end of the album, you get out of it, but hopefully you'll want to dig yourself back into it."
-They also talked about "If You Only Knew", and Brent talked about how it was about the love of his life and their child.
-Then, the debut of "Devour."

My thoughts on the song: We've all heard the samples, and I've heard people talk about how it's overproduced and how it's not heavy. After the first chrous, it goes off. It is really heavy. It's really powerful, mean, and it rips into you. It'll blow you away.

-After the song, Buckethead mentioned that "it's like rapid fire" and that it's the heaviest song, on or off stage, that he's heard.
-Buckethead asked about the line-up, and then went on to talk about Jasin and Brad. Brent mentioned that Jasin is the closest thing to a brother he's ever had, and that he needs some time to himsef. "He's not going to be gone forever," Brent mentions, "But we need to iron some things out." He also mentioned that its not fair that the album is delayed any further due to line-up changes. Buckethead brought up that Jasin might not have been too pleased with the new direction of the Sound of Madness.
-Brent mentions at the end that he loves Jasin and that he wants Shinedown to go on.
-They take a call. A listener, Mike, was worried it was a slant on the war. He was surprised to hear it really wasn't (Point of Clarification: It's NOT a slant. It's really something different. It's more of a point of view of a soldier. That's the best way I can describe it.)

Hope this is a good enough recap for you guys that didn't get the chance to hear it. I woke up early, since I'm actually in Kentucky for the Oaks and Derby, so if their are some errors/mistakes in the write-up, then that's my bad.

Hey jtomer,
Today at three, 101.1 WJRR will be playing the Buckethead Show as well. So you will have another chance to listen. If Brent came on at 8, I think the interview will be played at 5.
