I was thinking more along the lines of MOST UNDERRATED band. But then again that's cause they don't got a label that really promotes them like they should. Maybe if they had a better label shit like this wouldn't happen. But I guess shit happens and that station needs to burned down for even putting Shinedown in the category... =) just my thoughts...lol I'm also just kidding I would never do that kind of shit.

Ya know I just can't stop repeating the phrase "opinions are like assholes" here lately(except ours right) LOL!

We all know thats not true! I dunno about that radio station or it's listeners, maybe they like kiddie rock. I hope when Shinedown releases the next CD, they all eat their words!

I think they were completely underated ever since Us and Them came out just because they didn't make a Leave A Whisper II. Forget that radio station.

to me no matter how well Shinedown does in teh future and how much the Critcs like them in 10 years or whatever even if they are compared to Zeppelin or Sabbath Shinedown will be Underrated to me because Shinedown is the most loyal band to its fans almost ever, and they wont sell out. The music speaks for itself the way they make their songs eclectic, the songs never get old and no matter what they wont make a song just for exposure.

I think it's a shame that they aren't recognized more. I like it better when a band can be creative with each album they put out. I love the feel on the UAT album. I play both their albums constantly, they are and awesome band..they will get their moment in the sun soon enough but for now they have us fans to support them...starting to go through a shinedown withdrawl though...didn't have money for the concerts when they came through...damn..hate being a poor nursing student.

I'm as big a Shinedown fan as the next, but if they do what they have said they will in the past on their next album... They will indeed, sell out. Will it be the extent of Staind? No. But regressing to old form instead of progressing in the direction you are headed, which is your musical inclination, is selling out. They have stated that the next album will be more like LAW because 'more people liked it.' That my friend, is the definition of selling out. Do I hold it against them? Hell no! They deserve to make as much money as they can. U&T was leaps and bounds ahead of LAW in artistic ways. It was so far superior in musicianship and artistic styling it isn't even funny.

I truly hope they keep on the track they are on, and make the music THEY want to make, and not what the public wants. I'm more interested in hearing what they want to do, not what people want them to do.

"Shinedown is the most overrated band"

that has to be the most ignorant and moronic thing i ever heard. I'd like to hear what people who voted for this listen too musically.

Whats a platinum album, and a million new fans, when you've poisioned your soul?

i agree. i would like an explanation from them as to how they came up with that. what the hell makes you think shinedown is overrated? of all the bands out there right now, i just don't understand...some lame ass band dances around on a treadmill in their video and gets non-stop play on mtv and the radio. but shinedown, the best band of all time, makes incredible music, fantastic live shows, and is more dedicated to their fans than any band, gets called overrated.
it's sad how dumb people are these days.

Maybe shinedown is selling out a little but its barely because Shinedown is going back to their Platinum selling ways instead of Gold even though its not the direction they wanted to go, but they aren't going against their current fans wants. Everyone i know who likes us and them likes LAW but not everyone who likes LAW likes Us and Them. This is why i think LAW sold more records. For shinedown to sell out their next cd would be something nobody expected or wanted, something that sounds like a fall out boy or all american rejects or even Nickelback. Shinedown is going back to their more metal ways for more fans but I dont see this as selling out because they are already like that, they are just taking a step backwards.

the reason people think staind sold out ( I dont think they sold out) is Aaron Lewis wanted to make softer songs because he got married and became happier and wanted his music to reflect that. Shinedown is a very fan oriented band and if their CURRENT fans want a harder record then they will deliver. If they wanted to sell out they would do a completely different record just to be played on MTV and things like that. I can sort of see why others can see this as selling out but I also see the reasons Shinedown is doing it for purposes other then record sales.
