Thanks for those, they were both good performances. I have a few points on both of them...
Devour: This sounded great, I think the acoustic versions are pretty good all around, and the two guitar set up works well. Not sure about the little interlude bit. Musically it's fine, but due to the acoustic set up the vocals don't sound like they go - I don't know, it's not bad at all, just that bit works better with electric I think. Still, Brent was on form and Zach and Nick rocked. Save Me: A two guitar set up for this was odd at first as we're used to seeing just Jasin obviously, but it worked really well. The solo was a mixture of amusing and awesome, Nick did a cracking job. As did Zach, although frustratingly, I couldn't see the chords he was playing due to that bloody microphone thing being in the way! I also kind of hoped Brent (supposedly with a voice as strong as ever and sounding pretty good all around) would have gone for some really good long wails and high notes (like that AWESOME acoustic performance with Tony B.), but sadly he didn't. Still sounded really good though, if a little slow? Was it just me, or was it like a tad slower than usual? Also, Zach and Nick are a really cool pairing. They look the business. I think the two guitar set up is how it should always be now, that way the acoustic performances are different than they were before...and it's not like one guy takes the acoustic guitar...because then we could start comparing him Jasin...and trouble starts then! =D All in all, damn good stuff. - raymond Wrap me in a bolt of lightning, send me on my way still smiling... |
