I just listened to Devour on Shinedown.com and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a bit different from the band's other stuff, but certainly not in a bad way.
Question: am I the only one that thought the song is about the Bush administration and its decisions?

Well if you read the interview at all from the other threads... he directly says it is haha. Not a 100% bash though
All I can say is that it is absolutly amazing. I was expecting something epic, and what I heard was so much more than that. I think of the song in two pieces. I hear the heavy verse and the melodic chorus, but the thing that impresses me most about the full version of the song is the way that these two pieces transition into one another. I can almost see the two pieces of this song dancing together. The final outcome was so badass and blew me away. I can't wait till June 24th.
Where you been? Where you from? Don't you know us? We're the ones who got to steal the sun.
I am listening RIGHT NOW. COuldn't hear on the radio, so glad its online! When will it be on iTunes? (I HAVE NT CHECKED ANY OTHER THREADS TO SEE IF THIS WAS ASKED)
Forget the question, its above me. Devour is amazing. It sounds nothing like their old stuff, but its not in a better or worse way, its completely different style, and the boys completely rock out in both styles. I think its basically impossible to compare.
Yeah guys - it's on the homepage now. I like it... It reminds me of Lacerated actually, like a lot for some reason. But I'm totally into it, A headbanger for sure.

LOVE IT!
Like someone else mentioned, it's a pretty heavy song. No problem with that though. I could see a mosh pit going on in my head as the song played! HEHE
Cant wait to hear it LIVE at Rock on the Range!
