he doesnt even mention a song on the album, this type or review begs the question did the reviewer actually listen to the album or not, this cd mixes it up with very heavy, medium and soft songs, 5, 3, 3 respectively, its definately not a softer record then us and them, and as a whole it is softer then leave a whisper, but the 5 heavy songs on this album are faster and harder then the majority of LAW. whatever make your own opinion

Since when is how heavy a song is have anything to do with how good it is? Only to an idiot like that who only listens to death metal probably lol. There could be only 1 heavy song on here and it would still be an amazing album. The only problem there would be the title which suggests a heavy album. In my oppinion there is only 1 SLOW song and that is Call Me. The others are just mid tempo. I don't considder Crow and Butterfly slow.

Someone can dislike the album, but when they express it in such an idiotic way like he has, then I've no problem calling them a cocksucking fuckface.

Complete moron.

EDIT - I found another review: http://www.artistdirect.com/music/review/0,,4703720,00.html

Hmmm... that's yet another review that suggests that the reviewer did not even listen to the album; that's much more of an overall 'outlook' on the band, with no specific mention of any tracks other than "Devour". There is no basis for the 3 out of 5 star rating - no in-depth reviews or even overviews on any of the tracks or the album, itself, as a whole.

hey midget - kool is mine. you can't use that Razzer i would call you "shorty" but that's code for a chick in the hip hop world. wait, maybe shorty would work Wink

personally, i don't care about reviews. good or bad. sure, it's exciting to read a good one if it's your favorite band (or your own). but at the end of the day a review is just some other person's opinion.

personally i like to read reviews by good writers, not these kids who sound like they barely made it through college now just need a low paying job.

i like to read reviews by people that have been around the block a few times, ones that really know all kinds of music and know how to write respectively. its interesting but not gonna change my point of view.

i don't call this a review, but someone who was "emotionally scarred" by the band, haha. but this does show that anyone, at all, can get hired to review this stuff, we should apply, get free music early!

I don't mind if they're not experienced, they just have to express their opinion intelligently, sensibly, fairly. That first article isn't really even a "review" in the sense of the word, it's just bashing.

As I said people can dislike the album, hell, even despise the band if they want - but have reason for it, otherwise you're just being an idiot.

yeah, i read them sometimes just for the read. even if it's on an artist, movie, book, etc... that i'm not interested in.

i think it was just last year when a couple super well known mags got busted for reviewing discs they never even listened to. i know one involved the black crowes and the other a hip hop artist. in both cases the mags were busted because they published reviews for the albums a month or so before the labels even sent out the press advances. and in both cases the mags gave the artists shitty, thoughtless reviews. they were forced to apologize but i think that's getting off easy considereing that they were bashing someone's art just cos they could. or because they assumed they wouldn't like the stuff anyways.
