Ok so it's less of a home remedy philosophy, and more of just a preference... but here ya go.

Z and I have had this conversation. He obviously wants to be like me! I don't take ANYTHING unless I absolutely MUST. And then? It's Children's Tylenol.
All pain can be willed away. Just tell yourself that it doesn't hurt. It's totally a mental thing. I had boiling oil spilled on my hand in a cooking accident (NEVER let P help you cook!) and while I yelped, I grabbed my hand and walked to my front door and back. Then some room temperature water eased it. It blistered, it was gross, and I have a bit of a scar, but you wouldn't notice it unless you knew where it was. Looking at it now, you can barely see it. I literally cooked my finger in a torch once (also an accident!) and didn't do more than say "Ow!" My finger was white. It was cooked. People were disgusted. It looked horrid, but it's healed and no scar. I have a high pain tolerance because of my refusal to take anything. There are also a lot of natural remedies that work, like aromatherapy. It's not all just crazy crunchy hippie shit. Some of it's silly, but some of it actually works. Like clove oil for a toothache.

I was watching the noon news yesterday, and i heard the more you swear the higher your pain tolerance is. So it looks I can go into a surgery and use no anesthetics.

I dont' like taking things either... But after having passed out several times from abdominal pain, I'm starting to doubt my will power  I'm totally with the "no drinks, no drugs" part. Rock on Zach I've got a simple fear, I think someone will come just to put me away, into a cage, where I never can see the sun  |
