Do you think that after touring so much for and around LAW, Brent hurt his voice at all? Do you think he was better then? I mean, he's still a vocal GOD right now, but is he not as crisp perhaps? Can't he not cleanly go as high any more?
My oh my he is on form right there...I don't think I've seen any other Simple Man performance where his voice was as well controlled and crisp as that! Brilliant!
So what do you think of Brent's voice and how it has or hasn't changed?

I have noticed how much better and stronger his voice has gotten. For example in The crow and the butterfly, and the video I posted on here of him singing Save me with Tony Bataglia
i definately agree with phoenix1 brents voice has become alot stronger and i feel he can control it alot better now than earlier when they were touring LAW. just look up on youtube waukeusha county fair and watch the simple man video brent sings acapella and damn that is nice.
I'm sure your similing somewhere, i'm sure your looking outside. brent smith (preacher)
His voice has most definitally gotten stronger. Everysinger has their good vocal days and bad vocal days. Your vocal cords can only take so much before they get tired. I don't think he has hurt his voice in any means

jtomer said it best.....some nights you can sing great and other nights the vocal chords are just tired. I'd say by the end of the LAW touring his voice was pretty shot, but since they've been off the road a while and he's been singing in the studio, his voice is prolly on point. I hope this record he doesn't do as many high parts that are so hard to do live. I love how he pushes himself tho I jsut hate hearing people hate on him cause he dont sing the chorus to "x" song exactly the same as the record.nobody does
Well personally, to be honest, I think his voice during the LAW tour was way cleaner. During the Us and Them tour, he seemed to be off on a lot more vids. Though of course the songs were more complex. I just hope he's had time to give it a rest again.
