Lostinfantasy12, thanks for sharing that. It was great. I have appreciated what out troops are doing over there for us from day one. I also understand how scared most of them must feel being there and how their families must feel. My son is almost 18, and though he doesn't have to go since he is the last boy in the family to carry on the name, he talks about going anyway. Of course I don't want him to go, but I am proud of him wanting to defend what he believes in. I say that now, but if he goes, I'll be a nutcase. Jasin's perspective on things makes it seem all that much more real. I think SD did a great thing by going over there and doing what they did. They have families to think about and that were worried about them, but they didn't hesitate to do their part. That tells you how much they care about the troops over there. My father was a NYC officer as well as other family members and we know a lot of people who are on the department or are firefighters(obviously, the children of the men and women my father worked with)and what happened several years ago hit home. We know some people that were lost and most of my family is still in NY. What happened was a terrible thing and whether or not people agree with the war or not, they need to support our troops. They are doing their jobs and what they are told to do just like anyone else going to work. Their job just happens to be working for our country, the country that they keep safe for us and our kids. People need to remember that and thank the men and women over there that are away from their families and risking their lives so we can have good lives. Thanks again lostinfantasy12.

Great article...thanks for sharing it *s* ... one can remain alive long past the usual date of disintegration if one is unafraid of change, insatiable in intellectual curiosity, interested in big things, and happy in small ways. Edith Wharton http://www.myspace.com/firewoman_p

Yeah...weird, I know. Some magazines just release stuff way before it says it's supposed to be out, I've got a couple other ones that are like that too. *shrug*

I was thinking the same thing. Just goes to show how amazing Shinedown really is, so touching. Surely I deserve some kind of recognition for all rotten things I haven't done.
