Since there are two guitar parts in every song...why not have two guitarists...it's good to have someone to bounce ideas off of...not to mention SOM was better than everything else...and not to bash the other albums but they were all over the place

Back to topic: I think Zach does a really great job, he plays like 10 guitarists and put everything he can into the songs on stage. So I don't think Shinedown should get a 2nd guitarist, because he plays the important partys of the song and by the way somethings, like in the end of The Crow & The Butterfly Eric plays guitar, too

I think this is the right Shinedown, all four of the guys are great. And have good personality's and are good players, and they sound amazing too!

I'm not bashing them, I love the guys I was just saying since there's at least 2 parts two every song why not have a second guitarist, and I also feel it makes for more of a stresed album idk...recording SOM was different than the other 2 so I can't say

I feel that takes away from it...with orchestra stuff..okay but with guitars I don't like it when it's a main rythm part or something like that

I understand what you're trying to say about two guitarists making the songs more complete. But in my opinion, the way that Zach is playing them live is fantastic. I don't know if you saw the band live when Nick was in the band, but I did twice and I have seen them with just Zach twice. No disrespect to Nick because he is an amazing guitarist, but I think the band sounds better with Zach on lead and the sound still sounds very full. Plus, I like Zach's solos better cause I think his style of playing fits well with what Shinedown should sound like. My point is that I think bringing in another guitarist would hurt SD more than it would help them, unless it's Jasin, which I think we all know that's probably not gonna happen. Plus, changing the band's lineup for the fourth time would be kinda ridiculous. And could you please explain yourself when you said about the first two albums being all over the place. Leave A Whisper is arguably SD's most powerful album and Us And Them is definitely no push over with songs like Save Me, Heroes, I Dare You, Begin Again, Shed Some Light, etc.

I loved Nick and thought he was amazing. However I am in agreement that the best that I have seen them is as a quartet. Zach is damn well creative enough that giving him all the guitar responsibility allows him to let the creative juices flow to make that part of the show his own.

i can't wait to see what he'll write on the 4th album. i can only imagine.
