Okay, so Brent Smith left Dreve when Atlantic told him they only wanted him, not the band. So he formed Shinedown (and thank God for it). But how did the dreve gus take it? Did they think of him as a sell out or anything like that.

The Adoration just opened for Shinedown not too long ago. The bass player for The Adoration is the old bass player for Dreve.

That would be pretty cool if Brent and the rest of dreve came together to form an album or something... or maybe the bass player to replace Brad

Anyone ever heard any Dreve music or know where to find some? I'd love to hear Brent singing with some other bandmates. Thanks!

My girlfriend and her brother were friends with the guys in the band, often times sitting in on jam sessions. Her brother James has told me his fondest memory was sitting around playing straight thru Pantera albums together. From what I can gather, Brent came around after the other guys had been together and was a little older than the other guys. I think he was introduced to the band by a cousin of a friend of a friend type of thing. My girlfriend has one cassette that they put out in 1997 with 7 songs on it...I've been talking with both Andy and Eric about getting copies of other stuff, but it would seem someone stole all of Andy's stuff and Eric stays busy with his new band, Ultradrive, in Atlanta, GA.
