I have a question and forgive me if it's old news and if most people know, but I never heard the reason why Brad Stewart is no longer in Shinedown. I know he left the band way back in 2007, and now he's in a band called Amaru, which is actually a pretty sick band by the way, but anyway, why did he leave?? Was it his decision? The record company? The rest of the band members decision? I know he and Jasin must have had a lot to do with the writing of songs and style, and now both are gone. Which upsets me and kind of worries me as well, I mean don't get me wrong I love Brent and Barry, Brent's voice is unbelievable and cannot be matched, and Barry is one bad ass drummer, and I don't have anything against the new members, but what are they going to sound like in future releases without both Brad and now Jasin gone. Yes Brad may have already been gone for their latest album, but Jasin was still there in helping writing the tracks for the new album. I just wish all the original Shinedown members were still in the band. Hey Brent and Barry, go bring them back! Also since I guess I'm ranting right now a bit, I'd like to say even though I like all of Shinedowns albums, and really enjoying "The Sound of Madness" right now, there's no doubt their first album "Leave a Whisper" to me at least, and I think a lot of Shinedown fans can agree, was a masterpiece. I'll never forget listening to the album for the first time, I couldn't believe my ears how good it was. Not to mention I got everyone I told about the album who didn't even know who Shinedown were at the time hooked. I think I can honestly say if I was stuck on a deserted island that's the one cd I'd want with me. I'm not saying I want another "Leave a Whisper", there already is one, I just hope maybe one day they'll make another cd with the style of a "Leave a Whisper". The sound that got me hooked in the first place.

In the million of other threads on this topic there you will find NO OFFICAL REASON was ever given for his departure.

In a recent interview with Brent (which is posted on this forum somehwere), he stated that Brad's leaving was a "mutual thing", and I think he said that Brad wanted to go do his own thing, or do something else. I forget, but it was along those lines.

That's as close to an official word as you'll get.
