..hmmmm...well...he broke up a fight near the front/center at the HOB on New Years Eve..said a little speech like "I have seen enough fighting lately to last a lifetime"...or something like that. I can't remember exactly what he said...but it was very direct and to the point. The fight stopped...& that was cool. He just has a way with people..he wasn't hateful or anything towards them...he just cares.
I love him..a lot.

i dont remember the exact quote but i recorded it on my cell phone its kinda hard to hear due to the crowd. but brent was saying something about how one day when he was having a shitty day he woke up and looked in the mirror and started picking himself apart piece by piece and then he realized..."you are perfect just the way that you are" i love that part i wont forget it. my bf and i just totally loved that quote he used. my bf mentioned it to me that that quote spoke to him the most that he could relate to...that was the day he understood my love for shinedown...i call that quote "piece by piece"

I totally luv that quote MMMMeganLee posted., but i must agree with Donna, 1,2 fuck you is very touching (lol).

wow, very awesome moving and motivating i still really like this one he says on the live from the inside dvd: "their gonna try, their gonna want to hold you down, their gonna want to see your face pushed straight into the ground. But you can not give in, you can not let go and you must refuse to fall down".

One of my favorite things that Brent says in every concert. Well, the one's I've seen and it's on the dvd also, so I assume it's said at every show. He's talks about people fucking with your head and pulling your soul out of you. After he finishes his speech about how people can fuck with you, he tells everyone to go find that person in their lives that does that to them after the show. When you find them, tell them, "Fuck you, you can't fuck with me anymore". I can really relate to that. I had an abusive marriage for 14 years until I was able to get out. Now, I got myself in the same situation again. (Don't ask me how. I should have seen it coming). He was at the last show with me and when Brent said this, I just turned to him and said it out loud with Brent. I felt so good after that. I figured the ride home would be pretty shitty. He didn't say a work to me. He didn't talk to me at all for the entire next day. It was so nice. Anyway, I find something in every song SD has to help me through my day. So, whatever we call him, Brent has the gift.
