Ok so i was thinking, this next album needs to be epic. I mean alot bands when they release there 4th album there most likely really established and they explode.

For this next one i think shinedown would be perfect to do a concept album.
Like 2012, or tommy or the wall. Were the band basically tells one storyline throughout the entire album, i think brent and the band would fill this really good.

I don't know what I'd like the next album to be. Concept album sounds a bit... not Shinedown-esque. Like they'd be trying too hard.

I wouldn't mind if, sonically, they steered it ever so slightly back to the Us and Them style. Whatever it is I'm sure it'll be ace.

WellIGotACandle, you are not wrong. The Sound of Madness is not epic, it's a great, awesomely wonderful album. But not epic. Every single song is so radio friendly. They all clock in at about 3 and a half to 4 and a quarter minutes. What A Shame would have been masterful if it was over 5 minutes long. I think Sound of Madness is rightfully a 5 minutes song too. Another Lady So Divine type song would be splendid! They need to start showing off more than Brent's vocals. Most Shinedown haters I've heard bash the instrumentalists, we need to show these pissants that not only can Barry, Zach and Eric can play, but can beat the shit out of their instruments for a good 7-9 minutes for one song. Is that too much? I think not.

One last note: I want INSTRUMENTALS! Like Foot in the Other Dark Meat only slightly longer like 3-4 minutes. Oh, and "Shinedown IV" would be a great name for the next album, even though their hasn't been a Shinedown 1-3...I see that name and think "awesome!"

Same here. There's too many album names like this lately (Vol.1&2, Chapter V, Chapter 7).

I just hope the next album will be another great Shinedown album. I hope they stay true to themselves, and they won't let me down

I simply put shinedown IV because nobody knows the album name yet

i know, but someone stated in this thread it would be a great name for the album.
