Welcome to Shinerville, John! It's not just the tonal quality of Brent's voice, nor his range, it's the way he projects the sound, the vibration. His sound is not always perfect, or beautiful, sometimes it's knarly and ugly. The essence of his skill is that he projects it from deep, deep down; from the bottom of his spine; from the depths of his existence. His mind, heart and soul is in every word, every time, and this is why he is great. This is why Shinedown is great. They give every piece of themselves to us every night, on stage and off. How hard is that? Tuff in the extreme; rare in the extreme. This is why we are addicted to each other. )O(-Donna

donna, you are so right, that perfectly (and eloquently) sums up exactly why i love this band so much.
