What do you personally think will be the second single off the record now that we have heard most of the songs? My guess is it would be Second Chance or If You Only Knew. I am really hoping for Second Chance though.

It could be any of them, and they should all hit the top spot. The album is THAT good.

I'd like to see maybe Cyanide, or Second Chance.

I think because of the timing, it should be Second Chance. If they release that late July, it will tear up the charts. It's the perfect song to fit with people leaving for college and everything.

I think they'll do something soft, like If You Only Knew. Then the third single would be something hard. Hopefully they'll have more than three singles though. This CD definately has the potential.

Sound of Madness sounds like one of their best ever. I want that.

If it wasn't the perfect timing I talked about, I would throw out Cyanide Sweet Tooth Suicide. Maybe even Sound of Madness. It depends how the verses turn out in studio. They should just release 11 singles all in order. Cool

The next single will be something with alot of cross over potential. The third will be sound of madness or something harder. I love cyanide!

Thank you for the venom. Did you think it would paralyze?

Well, they're trying to promote the album, I think their best bet is to go mainstream for the time being. Release a softer song that can hit more radio stations. Spread the word a little and sell some more albums, which is ultimatley the important thing when it comes to radio. This is thier job as much as it is thier passion.

SECOND CHANCE would be the gold. It could do some damage on top 40 radio as well as your average rock station. IT's a WIN, WIN!

As for a 3rd Single, definately the title track, Sound of Madness. It hits hard and I'm sure with Second Chance and Sound of Madness out there in public, the people who haven't purchased the CD, just don't like music.

If they were to go as far as a 4th single, which I doubt they will. I think something like Crow, Cyanide, and/or, If You Only Knew could really put them into a great place.

I'm new here by the way, THE BOARD IS AWESOME.

GREAT TOPICS going on here.

Uhhh, I think it would be best to throw in Second Chance third. Before that, a heavier one. I think that it would be important that when a band announces an albums going to be heavy, you need to make sure people believe that. Two heavy hitters in a row will make a guy lisening to the radio say "Wow, these guys are actually pretty good, I should pick up the record", when following it up with a lighter song immeadiately would be something like " What the f*%#!? I thought this album was supposed to be heavy!? God, I got my hopes up...." This guy, of course is a big metalhead, but you get the idea.

Cyanide is one of my favorite songs on the album (if not my #1), but I doubt it will be released as a single given the lyrics. I recall seeing the few times 45 was played on MTV. They couldn't say "barrell" or "45". I can't imagine what someone who hadn't heard of the band thought when they saw that.

"and I staring down the _______ of a ________"

I believe they even subtitled the song "45 (Staring Down)". They butchered a masterpiece....

You have a very good point. I agree with you actually. I don't think Second Chance will necessarily hurt them if it was their second single though. Releasing a harder track third could get twice as much airplay if they were to follow it up after Second Chance. But either way makes perfect sense, which is why it's hard to tell.

I know Atlantic better not put out just Second Chance and Breaking Inside as Singles 2 and 3. That would make the band sound very hypocritical, announcing an album would be heavy, releasing a heavy album, then the next 2 songs you hear are soft. I am of course speaking of a guy who starts liking bands he hears om the radio.
